The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health has just informed about emergency and medical examination and treatment work at the ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
Accordingly, hundreds of doctors and medical staff from the Ministry of Health, Hanoi Department of Health, Military Medical Department (Ministry of National Defense) and Health Department ( Ministry of Public Security ) have been mobilized, ready to respond on-site and coordinate patients to end-line hospitals.
Latest statistics show: The number of recorded cases is 1,454, of which the number of severe cases/transferred cases is 113. Of which, the Hanoi Department of Health received and treated 664 cases, of which 75 severe cases/transferred cases for further treatment.
The military medical force handled 301 cases, of which 27 were serious/had to be transferred to another hospital. The police medical unit received 317 cases, of which 10 were serious/had to be transferred to another hospital. Bach Mai Hospital received 7 cases.

Viet Duc Friendship Hospital received 26 cases, including 1 serious case. Of these cases, 12 were delegates, 5 were in the service block, 7 were in the standing block and 2 were from the public.
End-line hospitals such as Bach Mai Hospital, Viet Duc Hospital, Hanoi Heart Hospital, and Xanh Pon General Hospital promptly received, treated, and monitored the health of officers, soldiers, and people participating in the event.
Thanks to close coordination between many forces, all cases received timely medical care, limiting risks.
Dr. Ha Anh Duc, Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, Ministry of Health said: 217 Medical Teams with 1,097 medical staff and 134 ambulances were mobilized to serve the A80 ceremony, to ensure first aid, emergency care, and medical examination and treatment for people participating in the parade.
From last night to this afternoon, the People's Public Security medical staff received and provided emergency care to more than 300 cases of citizens, officers, soldiers and delegates participating in the celebration.
Hanoi City Police Hospital provided emergency care to 201 cases, including 192 cases of people who went to watch the parade and had health problems; 9 officers and soldiers on duty.
At the medical tent on Lieu Giai Street, an area where many people have been sitting since yesterday morning waiting to watch the parade, the City Police Hospital received 86 people for emergency treatment. Among them, 42 cases had headaches, 8 had high blood pressure, 9 had digestive disorders, 3 fainted and had to be given IV fluids and sugar... The remaining cases were hypoglycemia, allergies, vestibular disorders, hypocalcemia, difficulty breathing, and minor injuries from walking and waiting outside all day and night.

Notably, there was 1 case that was brought to the emergency room with chest pain and had to be transferred to Thu Cuc Hospital.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, Director of Hanoi City Police Hospital, said that the medical tent at Hanoi Railway Station received 75 emergency cases, mainly suffering from digestive disorders, reflux esophagitis, fever, headache, high blood pressure, tachycardia, soft tissue injuries, allergies, difficulty breathing, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hypocalcemia... There were 3 severe cases that had to be transferred to Hanoi Heart Hospital and Bach Mai Hospital.
In addition, 7 mobile medical teams from the City Police Hospital also provided emergency care to 31 people, including 10 who fainted while waiting for a long time to watch the parade; 3 cases had to be transferred to the 108 Military Central Hospital and the Saint Paul General Hospital due to epilepsy and fainting.
At Ba Dinh Square, the 19-8 Hospital's medical tent received 57 emergency cases, including 45 people who went to watch the parade. Doctor Chu Duc Thanh, in charge of the hospital's medical tent, said that people who came to the emergency room mainly suffered from digestive disorders, headaches, high blood pressure, difficulty breathing, sore throat, gastritis, fatigue, low blood pressure, etc.
The Traditional Medicine Hospital of the Ministry of Public Security has 2 emergency tents at Quan Ngua Sports Palace and Thong Nhat Park, which also received 12 emergency cases of civilians and 2 police officers who suffered from heatstroke while on duty. After being treated on the spot, the 2 officers recovered and returned to their units.
The medical team of the People's Security Academy at the intersection of Kim Ma and Giang Van Minh streets provided first aid to 20 people waiting to watch the parade in this area who suffered from hypocalcemia, digestive disorders, headaches, vestibular disorders, dizziness, and high blood pressure. In addition, the medical team also provided emergency treatment to 3 soldiers in the block standing at Ba Dinh Square who suffered from heatstroke.

Lieutenant Colonel Vu The Hao, Head of the Medical Department of the Mobile Police Command, said that after many months of training, the soldiers participating in the parade all have good health and physical strength to have even, beautiful, strong, and heroic steps in Ba Dinh Square and parade on the streets.
However, after the ceremony, two female Special Police officers suffered from heatstroke and were given IV fluids at the Thong Nhat Park medical tent. After resting, the two officers' health stabilized and they returned to their marching formation to return to their units. In addition, one male officer from the standing unit suffered from stomach pain and was given first aid at the medical tent.
According to the Department of Health (Ministry of Public Security), with a high sense of responsibility, doctors and nurses assigned to be on duty at medical tents and mobile medical teams of the People's Public Security received and promptly provided first aid and emergency care to cases of health incidents on the A80th Great Festival, without any unfortunate incidents...
Dr. Ha Anh Duc, Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management, said that up to this point, the health sector has basically completed its assigned tasks, ensuring thoughtful medical work and medical care for the task force and people participating in the ceremony.
