More than 100,000 visitors attended the Saigontourist Culinary Culture Festival in Japan

On June 14 and 15, the Saigontourist Group - Vietnam 2025 Culinary Culture Festival took place at Tsurumi Ryokuchi Park, Osaka, attracting more than 100,000 visitors.

On the evening of June 15, at Tsurumi Ryokuchi Park, Osaka City, the Saigontourist Group - Vietnam 2025 Culinary Culture Festival ended successfully.

Spreading the image of friendly and hospitable Vietnam

During the two days, the festival attracted the participation of more than 100,000 visitors, including Japanese people, international visitors and overseas Vietnamese in Osaka, the Kansai region and other localities in Japan.

This is the first time that Saigontourist Group's cultural, culinary and tourism event has been held abroad, marking a new development step in the strategy of promoting Vietnamese culinary culture to the world .

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Ngo Trinh Ha - Consul General of Vietnam in Osaka, emphasized that this is the largest-scale Vietnamese food festival ever held in the Kansai region, attracting the attention of the Japanese public and the international community.

"The event not only spreads the image of Vietnam's country and people but also demonstrates Saigontourist Group's professional organizational ability at the international level," he said.

The festival is the first international edition of the "Saigontourist Group's Delicious Food" event series - a brand that has been honored three times in a row by the World Culinary Awards as "Asia's Best Food Festival" (2022-2024) and twice won the "World's Best Food Festival" award (2023-2024).

This event is already a familiar name in Vietnam, having been honored with prestigious awards from the World Culinary Awards, including the "Best Culinary Festival in Asia" award for three consecutive years (2022, 2023, 2024) and the "Best Culinary Festival in the World" award for two consecutive years (2023, 2024).

Bringing this festival's "brand" to the international market is a strategic step, affirming the stature and influence of Vietnamese culinary culture.

Chairman of Saigontourist Group, Mr. Pham Huy Binh - head of the festival's steering committee - said the event received enthusiastic support from Osaka residents, the overseas Vietnamese community and international visitors.

The first day was not favorable due to unseasonal rain, however, the second day when the weather was nice, the number of participants was very large, including many Vietnamese families coming from far away places in Osaka. The dishes prepared by professional chefs along with the cultural and exchange programs met the needs of the participants.

"Even in unfavorable weather conditions, the large number of visitors is a clear demonstration of the appeal of Vietnamese culture and cuisine. That is a great source of motivation for Saigontourist Group to constantly strive to bring Vietnamese cultural values ​​closer to the world," said Mr. Pham Huy Binh.

The highlight of the festival is the participation of 15 leading hotel, travel and tourism service brands of Saigontourist Group, bringing special dishes along with art performances, folk games and cultural exchanges. In addition, Japanese House of Representatives Moriyama Hiroyuki and Nishida Kaoru, representatives of the Osaka government, and high-ranking Vietnamese officials attended the opening ceremony.

In addition to the festival activities, on June 14, Saigontourist Group also organized a Business Connection Conference and a signing ceremony for cooperation in developing Vietnam - Japan tourism, with the participation of leading tourism, aviation and media businesses in the Kansai region. This is considered a key activity to expand the network of connections, attracting international visitors to Vietnam through direct promotion channels.

According to Mr. Pham Huy Binh, after the success in Osaka, Saigontourist Group is planning to bring the Food Culture Festival to other cities around the world to enhance the role of the business in promoting the quintessence of Vietnamese culture and tourism globally.

"Culture and cuisine are effective bridges to help Vietnam get closer to the international community, while contributing to the development of a green economy in a sustainable direction," he shared.

Taking place on June 14 and 15, the festival is chaired by Saigontourist Group, in coordination with the Department of International Cooperation - Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka, Vietnam Airlines, DCOM Money Express Company and Silk Company (Japan), the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association at Saigontourist Group, Saigontourist Travel Service Company, and other partners in Vietnam and Japan. This multilateral cooperation has created a solid foundation for the success of the festival.
