Over 110,000 people participated in the competition for traffic safety in the capital city.

The "For Traffic Safety in the Capital" competition in Hanoi in 2024 attracted more than 110,000 participants, an increase of over 20,000 compared to 2023.

On the morning of December 27th, the organizing committee of the "For Traffic Safety in Hanoi" competition in 2024 awarded prizes and launched the program for 2025.

This is the 13th year the program has been widely implemented throughout Hanoi, attracting the attention and participation of many officials, students, and pupils living and studying in the capital city.

The "For Traffic Safety in the Capital" communication program in 2024 also marks the second year of organizing two parallel forms of competition to test knowledge about traffic safety.

The 2024 online quiz competition "For Traffic Safety in Hanoi" continues to attract and receive enthusiastic participation from a large number of students at the junior high, high school, and continuing education levels in Hanoi.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Tien (Traffic Accident Investigation and Resolution Team, Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police) won first prize in the competition for traffic safety in the capital city.

According to the organizers, the 2024 competition attracted more than 110,000 participants, an increase of over 20,000 participants compared to 2023 (89,996 participants in 2023).

The 2024 "For Traffic Safety in Hanoi" writing contest awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 5 third prizes, and 10 consolation prizes.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Tien (Traffic Accident Investigation and Resolution and Violation Handling Team, Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police) won first prize.

The 2024 Hanoi Traffic Safety Online Quiz Contest awarded 2 first prizes, 6 second prizes, 8 third prizes, and 14 consolation prizes. The first prizes were awarded to Nguyen Hoang Anh from Nam Phong Secondary School (Phu Xuyen district) and Le Duc Anh from Tan Dan High School (Phu Xuyen district).

Based on the judges' assessment, all entries were meticulously prepared; however, due to the lack of focused assessments of the shortcomings in traffic safety, as well as the absence of groundbreaking proposals, recommendations, or solutions, the organizing committee has decided not to award the Special Prize for the writing competition this year.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Loi - Head of the Organizing Committee and Editor-in-Chief of the Economic & Urban Newspaper, said: Right at the time of summarizing the 2024 Program, the "For Traffic Safety in Hanoi" communication program for 2025 was officially launched with the expectation of attracting even more attention, support, and participation from all strata of people, officials, students, and pupils in Hanoi.

"Through this competition, we can all work together to cultivate and spread traffic culture to everyone, every household, actively contributing to ensuring traffic order and safety, and building a civilized lifestyle for the people of Hanoi," Mr. Loi emphasized.

Delegates performed the ceremony to launch the "For Traffic Safety in the Capital" communication program for 2025.

The "For Traffic Safety in the Capital" communication program, assigned by the Hanoi People's Committee to the Economic and Urban Newspaper, the City Traffic Safety Committee, the Department of Transport, and other units, has been organized annually since 2011.
