More than 12,000 athletes run through historical and iconic sites of Dong Thap

Early morning of October 12, in Dong Thap, more than 12,000 athletes participating in the VPBank Red Lotus Music Marathon 2025 officially entered the competition.

On the morning of October 12, at Cao Lanh Ward (Dong Thap), the VPBank Red Lotus Music Marathon 2025 officially took place with the competition distances of 42 km, 21 km, 10 km and 5 km with the running route standards surveyed and standardized by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Runners (AIMS).

Provincial leaders of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee and provincial departments and branches started the 5km content.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Huynh Minh Tuan, Vice Chairman of Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee, said that the VPBank Red Lotus Music Marathon 2025 will take place from October 10 to 12, gathering more than 12,000 domestic and foreign athletes. This is not only a professional sports playground, but also a large-scale sports - culture - music - culinary festival, contributing to making Dong Thap a prominent tourist destination in the Mekong Delta region.

The tournament created an impressive highlight with AIMS international standard running routes, leading athletes through historical and symbolic sites of Dong Thap.
