In this remarkable growth, we cannot fail to mention the achievements of agricultural, forestry and fishery products , which bring high profits and create many livelihoods for people across the country. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said that the total export turnover of agricultural, forestry and fishery products in the past 9 months reached 52.3 billion USD, up 14% over the same period last year. Of which, the export of agricultural products of all kinds reached 28.5 billion USD, up 16.8%; forestry products reached 13.4 billion USD, up 7.4%; aquatic products reached 8.1 billion USD, up 12.3%...
Mr. Cao Huu Hieu, General Director of Vietnam Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex), said: According to the business results of the first 9 months of 2025, the group has completed about 80% of the yearly plan, with consolidated revenue estimated to increase by 4-5% over the same period while profit increased by 25-30%. If this momentum can be maintained, the whole year's profit could exceed the record of 2021 (more than 1,400 billion VND). In particular, the fiber industry surprised everyone when it exceeded the production plan by 4 times; the garment industry continues to be the mainstay with a growth rate of about 60%, expected to bring in nearly 800 billion VND in profit.
Regarding the seafood industry, Ms. Le Hang, Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), predicted: "The period from now until the end of the year is the peak of seafood consumption, partners and importers everywhere will increase orders, so during this time we can witness explosive growth. Given these developments, this year's seafood export turnover could reach 10 billion USD." In addition, key agricultural products such as coffee, pepper, rice, vegetables and fruits are also excited because of high prices, contributing to the total turnover of the whole country. The Vietnam Coffee - Cocoa Association (Vicofa) informed that coffee prices have cooled down in the past 5 days due to the harvest season. However, in the last months of 2025, the world's coffee consumption demand will continue to increase strongly due to the festive season in many countries. This is the peak consumption period every year, creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese coffee industry to continue to boost exports.
Will finish with a record number!
Mr. Nguyen Nam Hai, Chairman of Vicofa, said: "Recently, Vicofa led a Vietnamese business delegation to visit and work directly with partners in the US and Canada. In the US, the delegation worked with the Chairman of the American Coffee Association, and the two sides discussed the challenges from reciprocal taxes and the impact on US businesses and consumers. The American Coffee Association agreed to cooperate with the Vietnamese side to continue discussing and proposing to the US Government 's competent agencies on reciprocal taxes, including coffee in the list of non-taxable items as before because the US is not a coffee producing country. In Canada, the business delegation of the two sides discussed many topics such as franchising, e-commerce, logistics and accessing the Canadian retail chain." Vicofa leaders affirmed that large markets such as the EU and the US are still the main growth drivers, while also opening up new spaces in other markets such as Algeria and Mexico. The increasing proportion of processed coffee products also contributes to increasing export value. It is forecast that coffee export turnover may reach 9 billion USD this year, a new record for the coffee industry.

Regarding the fruit and vegetable industry, Mr. Nguyen Van Muoi, Deputy General Secretary of the Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association, also excitedly announced: "This year, with the timely return of durian, high prices and the demand for fruit consumption in China during the year-end holidays, the fruit and vegetable industry may reach a turnover of 8 billion USD, nearly 1 billion USD higher than last year. This result is thanks to the Government's negotiations to expand official export products, the efforts of businesses in opening new markets as well as the efforts to access technology and improve the quality of agricultural products of farms and farmers."
Speaking to Thanh Nien reporters , a leader of the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) believes that the record import-export turnover of 900 billion USD is a completely feasible milestone. He added that to maintain growth momentum, businesses need to closely follow market fluctuations, restructure exports, maintain traditional markets and expand to ASEAN, the Middle East, and potential niche markets. At the same time, diversify products, increase added value, and meet green and sustainable consumption trends.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the economic growth target for 2025 is set by the Government and the National Assembly at 8.3 to 8.5%, so the export growth target is determined to be about 1.5 times higher, equivalent to 12%. To achieve this target, the Ministry of Industry and Trade synchronously deploys many key solutions such as supporting businesses to promote trade, connect with partners, expand markets, helping Vietnamese goods penetrate deeper into the global supply chain, especially in the US, EU and Northeast Asia. The Ministry also focuses on removing technical barriers, handling trade defense measures, protecting business interests in the context of fierce competition; promoting negotiations to expand new free trade agreements to open up potential markets.
Under the direction of the Prime Minister, to promote exports in the final period of the year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will take the lead in promoting the effective exploitation of signed free trade agreements (FTAs), focusing on activities connecting businesses, promoting trade, supporting businesses to take advantage of opportunities from FTAs; implementing large-scale, in-depth trade promotion programs for each industry in key markets. The Prime Minister also requested the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to coordinate with industry associations and businesses to focus on closely linking raw material areas, promoting preservation and processing, especially deep processing to increase export added value. The People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities regularly update information and situations from border provinces to avoid congestion; Strengthening links and information sharing between localities on production, crop, output, harvest and export situations to cooperate in determining transparent, public consumption markets for agricultural and aquatic products, beneficial to farmers and businesses, and promptly resolving arising difficulties and problems.
