Over 126 billion VND will be spent on renovating the sidewalks on Hung Vuong Street, Dong Ha City.

Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, Le Duc Tien, has just signed a decision approving the project "Basic Infrastructure for Comprehensive Development of Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Quang Tri Provinces - Quang Tri Province Sub-project, ADB Loan" to renovate the sidewalks of Hung Vuong Street in Dong Ha City (Phase 1) with a total investment of VND 126.5 billion from ADB loan funds and counterpart funds from the Vietnamese Government.

The investment aims to create urban landscapes and focal points for Hung Vuong Street – the city's central transportation artery, gradually completing the infrastructure system in a synchronized manner, contributing to urban beautification, and creating a civilized, modern street befitting a type II urban area.

Accordingly, investment will be made in constructing sidewalks along Hung Vuong Street with a total length of 5,040 m, starting at km 0+00 on Tran Hung Dao Street and ending at km 5+040 north of Vinh Phuoc Bridge; the sidewalks on each side will have an average width of 6 m.

Specifically, the section from Ly Thuong Kiet Street to the Dien Bien Phu intersection will only have a 6-meter-wide sidewalk constructed on the left side, while the right side will remain unchanged.

The sidewalks will be paved with terrazzo tiles, measuring 40x40x3 cm, while the 1.2 m wide pedestrian walkway will be paved with natural granite, also measuring 40x40x3 cm. The total area for sidewalk paving is approximately 36,000 ^m² .

At the same time, the curbs and drainage ditches will be replaced with granite; the curbs and median strips will also be cleaned and repainted.

The project belongs to group B; technical infrastructure works, level III. The project completion date is September 30, 2025.
