Attending the groundbreaking ceremony was Nguyen Nguyen , Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council. Position Present at the event were: Mr. Hai ; Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks, Mr. Luong Kim Son; Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Ngai province, Mr. Ho Ngoc Thinh; leaders of the Party Committees and departments of the Provincial Party Committee , provincial departments and agencies; leaders of Binh Son and Van Tuong communes; and a large number of workers and people in the area.
The project to upgrade and expand the transportation infrastructure system in the Dung Quat Economic Zone has a total length of 9.6 km, including the construction of 4 roads: the Tri Binh – Thien Dang roundabout road, 3.4 km long, with a roadbed width of 47.5 m and a road surface width of 22.5 m; the Thien Dang roundabout – Chu Lai road, 1.7 km long, with a roadbed width of 11.5 m and a road surface width of 8.0 m; the road connecting National Highway 1A – Tinh Phong – Binh Tan (phase 1), 1.5 km long, with a roadbed width ranging from 12 m to 20.5 m and a road surface width of 10.5 m; and the Lam Vien – Van Tuong road, 3.0 km long, with a roadbed width of 34 m and a road surface width of 16 m. These roads pass through the three communes of Binh Son, Van Tuong, and Tho Phong, with a land use area of 33.09 hectares. The routes are designed according to urban street standards, with a two-layer asphalt concrete pavement structure totaling 12 cm thick on a crushed stone base. The total investment for the project is 350 billion VND, with implementation scheduled from 2024 to 2027.
The project aims to gradually complete the infrastructure system of traffic routes and technical infrastructure such as sidewalks, green spaces, drainage systems, and street lighting according to the plan, ensuring smooth connectivity between the Dung Quat Economic Zone and surrounding areas, promptly meeting the needs for transporting goods, supplies, materials and production and business activities of enterprises in the area; thereby contributing to creating favorable conditions for attracting investment, promoting socio-economic development, and at the same time strengthening national defense and security and traffic safety for people in the area.
With the project's key objectives in mind, the Investor - the Provincial Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Transportation Projects - is committed to closely coordinating with local authorities, state management agencies, and relevant units directly involved in the project, such as construction contractors, design consultants, and supervision consultants, to ensure construction proceeds on schedule, achieves the highest quality, and strictly adheres to regulations on labor safety and environmental protection.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, on behalf of the provincial leadership, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks, Luong Kim Son, acknowledged and praised the efforts, urgency, and seriousness of the investor, the coordination of departments, agencies, and localities, and the support of the people in the project implementation areas. He also emphasized that today's groundbreaking ceremony is only the beginning of the project's construction. To ensure the project achieves its goals and requirements as soon as possible, he requested that departments, agencies, and local authorities in the project areas continue to cooperate, focus on resolving difficulties and obstacles, and coordinate the project's implementation in a synchronized and effective manner.
The comrade expressed his hope that the people in the region would continue to support and cooperate with the government, especially in the handover of land to facilitate construction. The investor and contractors need to demonstrate the highest sense of responsibility, concentrate manpower and equipment, accelerate construction progress, ensure the quality and efficiency of the project, and strictly adhere to regulations on labor safety and environmental protection.
We are confident that, with the attention and support of central ministries and agencies, the determination and efforts in leadership and guidance of local Party committees and authorities, and the collective efforts and unity of the entire people, Quang Ngai province will gradually complete its synchronous and modern transportation infrastructure, contributing to the successful achievement of the goals, targets, directions, and tasks set forth by the First Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, and at the same time, together with the whole country, successfully implement the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress.
