The event brought together more than 150 delegates including scientists, policy makers, managers, researchers and graduate students from 11 countries and territories.
The conference was honored to have the participation of many prestigious speakers in the field such as: Ms. Janine Schmidt, former Director of Trenholme Library, McGill University (Canada); Ms. Margaret Law, Deputy Director of the University of Alberta Library (Canada).
There were also Associate Professor, Dr. Do Van Hung, Hanoi National University; Associate Professor, Dr. Songphan Choemprayong, Chulalongkorn University (Thailand); Dr. Espéran Padonou, Executive Director of the Vallet Foundation (France), and many domestic and foreign experts.

With the theme of information science, digital libraries, open science, e-publishing and user services in the digital age, ICLISSP2025 is an interdisciplinary forum to share research results, practical experiences and discuss innovative trends in the field of library and academic publishing.
The conference program includes many outstanding activities such as: two thematic seminars on international integration for Vietnamese scientific journals and AI applications in library work; plenary reports on the new role of libraries in digital transformation; six parallel discussion sessions on the topics of digital technology , open learning materials, adaptive leadership, scholarly communication and new publishing models.

Ms. Vo Cao Thi Mong Hoai, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Gia Lai province, said that in the digital age, fields such as information science, digital libraries, open science and electronic academic publishing are advanced research directions, playing a strategic role in promoting knowledge sharing, expanding access to information and ensuring knowledge equity on a global scale.
The conference is an important interdisciplinary academic forum where domestic and foreign scientists and experts can publish research results, exchange practical experiences, discuss new trends and challenges. Thereby, propose feasible solutions to build an honest and sustainable library and academic publishing ecosystem in the world.

ICLISSP2025 is an opportunity for universities, libraries and publishing units in Vietnam to approach global trends, an important stepping stone to improve the quality of scientific journals, towards international standards such as ISI, Scopus.
At the same time, create conditions for young researchers, graduate students and domestic policy makers to seek opportunities for cooperation, learning and career development in the field of libraries and academic publishing.
