The project aims to urgently relocate 34 households and allocate land for the An Phuoc Vien crematorium within the land clearance area of the North-South high-speed railway project; serving the needs of relocating graves in residential areas, improving the environment and urban landscape.
According to a report by the Da Nang Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Transportation and Agriculture Projects, 34 households in Group 5, Hoa Khe Hamlet (Hoa Khanh Ward) are currently residing within the Hoa Son Cemetery, which has undergone various investment phases. This does not comply with regulations regarding the safe environmental distance between the cemetery and residential areas, posing a potential risk of environmental pollution and significantly impacting the daily lives of these households.
Furthermore, many cemeteries in the city are overcrowded, and the city is currently facing difficulties in relocating graves during the land clearance process for projects. On the other hand, investing in the construction of centralized cemeteries is necessary to address issues of environmental sanitation and urban landscape, ensuring the city's overall planning.
The An Phuoc Vien crematorium is currently located within the land clearance area for the North-South high-speed railway project. Therefore, it is necessary to allocate suitable land to promptly relocate and hand over the site for the project, ensuring the crematorium's operation.
The Hoa Son Cemetery expansion project (phase 6) is expected to have a total investment of over 151 billion VND, divided into two component projects. Component project 1, land clearance, is expected to cost over 89 billion VND in compensation, with the City Land Fund Development Center as the investor. Component project 2, the construction and expansion of Hoa Son Cemetery, has a total investment of over 62 billion VND, with the Da Nang Investment and Construction Project Management Board for Transportation and Agriculture Projects as the investor.
According to the Da Nang city cemetery planning orientation until 2030, with a vision to 2045, the total area of Hoa Son Cemetery is 276.35 hectares, including 213 hectares of existing area and 63.35 hectares of expansion.
