
The project is being implemented to urgently relocate 34 households and arrange land for the An Phuoc Vien crematorium project within the scope of site clearance for the high-speed railway project on the North-South axis; serving the need to relocate graves in residential areas, improve the environment and urban landscape.
According to the report of the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Traffic and Agricultural Works in Da Nang, there are currently 34 households in Group 5, Hoa Khe Village (Hoa Khanh Ward) living within the Hoa Son Cemetery, which has been invested in through various stages, not ensuring regulations on the safe environmental distance of the cemetery from residential areas; posing a potential risk of environmental pollution, as well as greatly affecting the daily lives of these households.
In addition, many cemeteries in the city are overloaded, the city is currently facing many difficulties in arranging places to relocate graves during the process of site clearance for projects. On the other hand, investing in the construction of centralized cemeteries is necessary to overcome problems of environmental sanitation and urban landscape, ensuring the general planning of the city.
The current An Phuoc Vien crematorium project is located within the land clearance area for the implementation of the North-South high-speed railway project. Therefore, it is necessary to arrange suitable land funds to promptly relocate and hand over the project site, ensuring the operation of the crematorium.
The Hoa Son Cemetery Expansion Project (Phase 6) is expected to have a total investment of over VND 151 billion, divided into two component projects. Of which, component project 1 is expected to have a total compensation cost of over VND 89 billion, invested by the City Land Fund Development Center. Component project 2 is to invest in the construction and expansion of Hoa Son Cemetery with a total investment of over VND 62 billion, invested by the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Traffic and Agricultural Works in Da Nang .
According to the planning orientation of Da Nang city cemeteries to 2030, with a vision to 2045, the total area of Hoa Son Cemetery is 276.35 hectares, including 213 hectares of current area and 63.35 hectares of expansion.
