More than 500 Mid-Autumn Festival gifts for students in remote areas of Dam Rong

On September 10, more than 500 gifts were presented by Lam Dong Provincial Police to students in remote areas in Ro Men commune, Dam Rong district, Lam Dong province.

The program was organized by the Women's Union, Youth Union, Department of Organization and Personnel, Department of Internal Security and Inspection Committee of Lam Dong Provincial Police in coordination with Dam Rong District Police, Lam Dong Provincial Association for Promotion of Education and Social Charity Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha of Lam Dong Province.

Here, the delegation awarded 40 scholarships to studious students with difficult circumstances of Ro Men Primary and Secondary School; organized "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival" with many folk games and attractive performances. On this occasion, more than 500 gifts, including lanterns, cakes and candies, were given to students in remote areas of Dam Rong district.

Lieutenant Colonel Le Thi Hong Minh - Deputy Head of the Inspection Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial Police Party Committee - said that the total budget for organizing activities on this occasion is nearly 50 million VND. This amount was mobilized from contributions from women's union members, youth union members of units in the provincial police and philanthropists.
