Mr. Ted Osius - former US Ambassador to Vietnam, Chairman of USABC - said that the record number of US businesses coming to Vietnam this time reflects the strong belief of US businesses in the future of Vietnam; the commitment of businesses in expanding trade and investment in Vietnam. The US is currently the second largest trading partner of Vietnam and Vietnam is the eighth largest partner of the US. Therefore, the opportunities ahead between businesses of the two countries are still very large.
"In the context of global trade uncertainty, including tariff risks for Vietnam, the US business community remains steadfast and committed to promoting a stable, mutually beneficial trade relationship. We recognize the challenges ahead, but also recognize the great potential for deep cooperation between the two countries," said Mr. Ted Osius.

Mr. Ted Osius appreciated the Vietnamese Government's comprehensive institutional and administrative reform, which contributes to promoting economic growth, improving the business environment and creating new opportunities for American companies.
“ These reforms are consistent with the US priority of promoting supply chain recovery and opening markets for products. What the Vietnamese government does today will have a lasting impact on the economy ,” said Mr. Ted Osius.
The USABC representative said that after nearly half a year since the Vietnamese leader visited the US to promote cooperation in the high-tech sector, American businesses are now working closely with Vietnamese businesses to create "made in Vietnam" technology products for export to the world market. Regarding AI technology, the USABC representative affirmed that this is Meta's long-term commitment to Vietnam.
"This year, the focus of cooperation between American technology companies and partners in Vietnam is to create the largest database ever, to build a "purely Vietnamese" AI model that can understand Vietnamese culture and people to serve Vietnamese people in Vietnamese. In particular, American companies are coordinating with organizations to introduce and train AI programs for nearly 1 million students and teachers nationwide," said a representative of USABC.
