Faced with the complicated developments of storm No. 5, the Department of Education and Training of Ha Tinh has issued a document directing educational units to proactively let students stay home from school to respond to the storm.
Following the direction of the province and the education sector, schools have also announced to class groups and parent groups about the school closure to prevent storms.
Accordingly, more than 67,000 students in grades 1, 9 and 12 in Ha Tinh will be off school for 2 days, from Monday (August 25) to Tuesday (August 26). Depending on the weather, the school will have a new announcement.

The Department of Education and Training has also requested units to closely monitor the storm's developments on mass media to proactively handle necessary situations, ensuring safety; at the same time, organize 24/24 hours on duty; develop plans to move files, documents, machinery, equipment, tables and chairs to safe places, avoiding damage. Review and inspect all school and classroom facilities, especially degraded works, at risk of being unsafe when heavy rain, floods, landslides, inundation occur...

Schools proactively coordinate with local authorities and organizations to focus on responding to and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 5 and the risk of floods and rains, and prepare conditions for the opening of the 2025-2026 school year.
During the time students are off school, the school continues to promote propaganda and education on disaster prevention skills; instruct students and parents on drowning, landslide and traffic safety prevention skills; establish an information channel with parents to manage students, minimizing the risks of natural disasters happening to them.

The resumption of teaching will be considered depending on the weather situation and instructions from competent authorities.
