In Gia Lai province, there are over 9,500 candidates taking the exam. Specifically, the Quy Nhon University exam center has 4,993 candidates out of 5,058 registered; the Quang Trung University exam cluster, divided into 4 locations, has 4,558 candidates out of 4,600 registered.

The exam consists of 120 multiple-choice questions covering Scientific Reasoning (30 questions), Mathematics (30 questions), and Language Usage (60 questions in Vietnamese and English). Candidates have 150 minutes to complete the exam on paper. Each question has a different weighting depending on its difficulty, with a total score of 1,200 points.
The results of the second round of the competency assessment exam are expected to be announced on June 6th.

Previously, on April 5th, the first round of the competency assessment exam was held with the participation of over 133,000 candidates, achieving a participation rate of 98.33% compared to the number of registered candidates.
The score distribution of the first aptitude test was wide with a standard deviation of 141.2, indicating good differentiation among candidates. Approximately 30% of candidates scored below 600 points, 55% below 700 points, and only about 6% scored 900 points or higher, showing a clear stratification between different ability groups. The lowest score was 27 points, and the highest was 1,098 points.
Currently, 118 universities and colleges use the aptitude test scores of the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City for admission purposes.
