Honda Jazz facelift revealed - younger, sharper

Recently, images of the upgraded version of the small urban car Honda Fit (also known as Jazz) appeared in the registration documents of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

This is a sign that the new 2025 Honda Jazz (or Honda Fit in China) is about to be officially introduced in the "neighboring" market of Vietnam.

The most notable point of this upgrade is the exterior, especially the front-end design. Unlike the current version with a friendly, soft style, the new Honda Fit 2025 has a sharper and more solid appearance.

The separate LED headlights, slim and angular design, create a significantly more modern and fierce impression. The radiator grille is narrowed, the front bumper is widened, giving a sportier feel. The body of the car is almost unchanged compared to the old generation.

Meanwhile, the rear end has been slightly updated, with a black plastic diffuser strip that adds a sporty feel to the small hatchback. The upgraded Honda Fit in China has an overall length of 4,196 mm, a slight increase compared to the current version. However, the parameters of width, height and wheelbase have not been announced in detail.

Honda has yet to release official images of the interior, so it’s unclear whether the new Fit will get an updated dashboard design, center console display, or a digital cockpit like some of the recently launched Honda models.

In terms of engine, the car continues to be equipped with a 1.5L i-VTEC naturally aspirated gasoline engine for a maximum capacity of 122 horsepower, 6 horsepower more powerful than the version sold in Japan. The engine comes with front-wheel drive, combined with a CVT gearbox, without the AWD option as in the Japanese domestic market.

Honda Jazz was once distributed in Vietnam but was discontinued due to unsatisfactory sales. However, in the context of the market witnessing the return of many small hatchback models, such as the upcoming new generation Suzuki Swift, Honda bringing back Fit/Jazz is not impossible.

If re-distributed, the new Jazz/Fit will join the competitive segment with models such as Mazda2 hatchback, Suzuki Swift or even Toyota Yaris - a group of cars for young customers, urban users, who need a compact, fuel-efficient and comfortable car.
