Hong Nhung trembled when singing 'Hanoi Song' for the first time at the National Concert

Performing "Hanoi Song" for the first time in the National Concert "What remains forever", diva Hong Nhung was emotional and felt pressured when singing the song associated with the name of People's Artist Le Dung.

On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2, the National Concert "What remains forever 2025" took place at the Hoan Kiem Theater. The concert is a musical journey honoring the beauty of the lands that the liberation army passed through through music. From the northernmost land of the Fatherland, to the Central, Central Highlands, and South, the songs that have accompanied the years have painted a portrait of a beautiful and heroic Vietnam.

The concert opened with the song Tien Quan Ca by Van Cao, arranged by Tran Manh Hung, under the direction of conductor Olivier Ochanine and the Sun Symphony Orchestra. The entire audience stood up to salute the flag to the majestic music.

The program opened with the song "Motherland" (composed by Tran Manh Hung) performed by Meritorious Artist Le Giang with the SSO Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Olivier Ochanin.

After many years of absence, singer Hong Nhung returned to "Dieu con mai" with an impressive performance of "Bai ca Ha Noi ". She admitted the pressure when performing because the song was once associated with the name of People's Artist Le Dung: "This is a beautiful work: both majestic and soft, full of emotion and bearing the elegance typical of Hanoi people. Previously, the late People's Artist Le Dung - whom I greatly admire - performed this song with a deep impression. Therefore, when I first sang with Bai ca Ha Noi, I couldn't help but be nervous and trembling."

Meritorious Artist Lan Anh made an impression in her return with "What remains forever" after nearly a decade.

Pianist Luong Khanh Nhi performs for the first time at Dieu con mai with the work Song Lo (music and lyrics: Van Cao) with the Sun Symphony Orchestra and conductor Olivier Ochanine.

Cellist Phan Phuc excels with the work Towards Hanoi (Music and lyrics: Hoang Duong), arranged by musician Tran Manh Hung.

Singer Bach Tra with the song "Sending you a poem hat" (Music: Le Viet Hoa, Poetry: Son Tung). Originally a native of Binh Tri Thien, Hue folk music flows deeply in her, the female singer strives to fully convey the gentle, lyrical and calm tone of the work to the listeners.

Singer Tung Duong with "Dak Krong River, Spring Comes" (To Hai) conveys a strong national sound, while praising the strong vitality. The male singer also performed the song "A Round of Vietnam" by musician Dong Thien Duc - a hit recently - on the "Dieu Con Mai" stage.

With an emotional soprano voice, combined with a solid foundation of vocal techniques, Meritorious Artist Pham Khanh Ngoc delivered a complete, spirit-filled performance of "Nha Trang, Autumn Comes Back" (Van Ky).

The closing performance exploded with the heroic melody of "As if Uncle Ho were here on the great victory day" by musician Pham Tuyen with the joy of the country's reunification day, closing the concert "What remains forever" 2025. Musician Pham Tuyen's song became an immortal symbol of the joy of victory, conveying the nation's desire for peace, and at the same time marking the whole country embarking on a new journey to create the future.
