Resolution No. 1198/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on the rearrangement of commune-level administrative units in Ninh Thuan province for the period 2023-2025 takes effect from November 1, 2024. Accordingly, the rearrangement of commune-level administrative units in Phan Rang - Thap Cham City is as follows: The entire natural area of 0.45 km2 and population of 5,200 people of My Huong ward and the entire natural area of 2.64 km2 and population of 11,356 people of Tan Tai ward will be merged into Kinh Dinh ward. After the merger, Kinh Dinh ward will have a natural area of 3.50 km2 and a population of 24,656 people. Kinh Dinh ward borders Dao Long, My Binh, My Dong, My Hai, Phu Ha wards and Ninh Phuoc district. The entire natural area of 1.1 km2 and a population of 10,660 people of Thanh Son ward were merged into Phu Ha ward. After the merger, Phu Ha ward has a natural area of 2.4 km2 and a population of 23,957 people. Phu Ha ward borders Dai Son, Kinh Dinh, My Binh, and Phuoc My wards. After the reorganization, Phan Rang - Thap Cham city has 13 commune-level administrative units, including 12 wards and 1 commune; Ninh Thuan province has 7 district-level administrative units, including 6 districts and 1 city; and 62 commune-level administrative units, including 47 communes, 12 wards, and 3 towns.

Comrade Chau Thi Thanh Ha, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Phan Rang-Thap Cham City Party Committee, and Head of the Steering Committee for the reorganization of commune-level administrative units in Phan Rang-Thap Cham City for the period 2023-2025, chaired the meeting.
Concluding the meeting, Comrade Chau Thi Thanh Ha, Secretary of the City Party Committee, requested that the dissemination of Resolution No. 1198/NQ-UBTVQH15 be strengthened; that the newly formed administrative units after the reorganization begin operation from November 1, 2024; and that the resolution be thoroughly publicized and understood by all cadres, Party members, and people in the city, especially in the commune-level administrative units undergoing reorganization and merger, to create high consensus and unity among cadres, civil servants, employees, and all strata of the people when implementing Resolution No. 1198/NQ-UBTVQH15. She also emphasized the need for strict implementation of the handover of assets, finances, documents, and organizational structure in accordance with regulations; and the completion of conditions for the newly established administrative units to begin operation as prescribed.
