Gianh River Bridge (crossing Gianh River from Quang Thanh Commune, Quang Trach District through Quang Hai and Quang Loc Communes, Ba Don Town, Quang Binh Province) is 2.8km long, designed to be 17.5m wide with 4 lanes. The road on the bridge has a hard median strip in the middle, a design speed of 80km/h and an investment of more than 1,000 billion VND.

During the construction process, the construction unit built more than 100 bridge piers, of which more than 50% were located in locations with karst caves under the riverbed, stacked on top of each other.

The construction unit pumped concrete into the cave, created permanent walls, pumped mortar, used hard rig drilling technology, and drilled down to the bottom of deep caves, so the construction unit was able to fix the boreholes in the karst caves on Gianh River.
