The Gianh River Bridge (spanning the Gianh River from Quang Thanh commune, Quang Trach district to Quang Hai and Quang Loc communes, Ba Don town, Quang Binh province) is 2.8 km long, designed to be 17.5 m wide with 4 lanes. The road on the bridge has a rigid median divider, a design speed of 80 km/h, and an investment of over 1,000 billion VND.

During construction, the contractor installed more than 100 bridge piers, with over 50% of them located in areas with karst caves beneath the riverbed, stacked on top of each other.

The construction unit pumped concrete into the caves, creating permanent walls, injected grout, and used rigid drilling technology to drill down to the bottoms of the deep caves. As a result, the construction unit successfully rectified the boreholes in the karst caves on the Gianh River.
