The Central Office for Southern Vietnam always identified the culture and arts in the bases and liberated areas on the battlefields of the South and the extreme South Central Coast as the culture and arts of the resistance war. The consistent viewpoint of the Central Office for Southern Vietnam is that liberation culture and literature is an important front, with the task of serving the political and ideological work of the army and people of the South. Liberation culture and literature has made an important contribution to defeating war strategies and limiting the damage, defeating the imperialist cultural enslavement policy in South Vietnam.
In R (meaning the Southern Central Bureau Base), there were many famous artists and writers such as Tran Huu Trang, Ly Van Sam, Giang Nam, Hoai Vu, Nguyen Van Bong, Anh Duc, Ho Bong, Thai Ly, Nguyen Quang Sang, Huynh Phuong Dong, Trang The Hy, Lu Nhat Vu, Le Quang Trang, Le Giang...
Poet, Critic Le Quang Trang and Poet Tran Thi Thang interacted at the meeting.
The works of artists of the Southern Central Bureau Base Area are not only artistic heritage, but also spiritual heritage, an endless source of inspiration for generations of artists today, who continue to create and serve the Fatherland through art.
At the meeting, the memories of the fiery period were vividly and emotionally recounted by the delegates.
It is not simply a memory of a time of resistance, but also a precious spiritual heritage of the entire nation. In the midst of fierce battlefields, the soldiers-artists not only held guns but also held instruments, pens, and brushes to create works of art as a "spiritual weapon" as a source of encouragement for the entire long front line.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy expressed her joy and pride in attending the meaningful meeting.
“This is an opportunity for the city to express its deep gratitude to the artists who lived, fought, and created art amidst fierce bombs and bullets, to “overcome the smoke of bombs, sing in the fire of bullets”, to encourage the fighting spirit, and light up the belief in victory in the hearts of cadres, soldiers, and people”, Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy shared.

According to Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, today's meeting is not only an opportunity to review the heroic years, but also a meeting of generations - where noble traditional values are continued, where "artists-soldiers" of yesterday pass on the flame of passion, patriotism and artistic ideals to the young artists of today.
“The city hopes and believes that the stories, memories and spirit of life of the uncles and aunts today will continue to be a strong inspiration, helping the young generation to firmly step on the creative journey, serving the country with their own hearts and talents,” Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy emphasized.
