Honoring journalistic works on Hanoi cultural development 2025

In the 2025 “award season”, Hanoi city selected 33 press works of the highest quality to award the 8th Press Award on cultural development and building elegant and civilized Hanoians. Among them, a work by Nhan Dan Newspaper was awarded the B Prize.

On the evening of October 19, at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Site (Ba Dinh Ward, Hanoi ), the Hanoi Party Committee and People's Committee held the 8th Press Award Ceremony on cultural development and building elegant and civilized Hanoians - 2025.

Attending the program were comrade Lai Xuan Mon, member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission.

Hanoi is the capital of a thousand years of culture, a land of elegant and civilized traditions. Therefore, in the process of building and developing the capital, regardless of the context, Hanoi city always puts the task of preserving and promoting cultural and human values ​​as one of the key tasks.

From this perspective, the city has organized a Press Award on cultural development and building elegant and civilized Hanoians.

2025 is the year of many special important events for the capital and the country: The 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam , the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi Party Committee, the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2...

Most recently, the city successfully organized the 18th Hanoi Party Congress.

This year's Press Award on cultural development and building elegant and civilized Hanoians reflects common issues in building and developing Hanoi culture, while closely following current issues.

The Organizing Committee received 352 works from 35 press agencies, including 7 Hanoi press agencies and 28 central, ministerial, sectoral and local press agencies.
Including 107 print newspaper works, 177 electronic newspaper works; 68 radio and television works.

The works are invested in depth, outstanding in three aspects: Direction and organization from the editorial offices, many works are invested in a planned manner; strong application of multimedia technology, with nearly 60 e-magazine, longform, megastory products, in line with modern journalism trends; promoting the strength of in-depth analysis of print newspapers, in which about 30% of the articles are serial series.

This year's entries closely follow key issues in the construction and development of the capital's culture such as: Developing cultural industry; preserving and promoting traditional cultural values; planning, preserving architecture and heritage; communication culture, public service culture; exploiting the heritage of Thang Long - Hanoi; regional linkage for cultural industry...

The press works closely follow Resolution No. 33-NQ/TW of the Central Executive Committee on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people and Directive No. 30-CT/TU of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on strengthening leadership in building elegant and civilized Hanoians, thereby creating a "framework" of topics for the press to exploit and becoming a channel to vividly convey the Party's guidelines and policies, contributing to concretizing them into real life.

The organizing committee acknowledged the serious and creative working spirit of the team of reporters, from choosing topics, conducting in-depth interviews, to expressing them in modern and attractive language.

The participation of central press agencies helps improve the quality, criticality and influence of the Award, affirming the role of the press in fostering cultural and humanistic values, building elegant and civilized Hanoians in the new era - the era of national growth.

After the judging rounds, the Final Jury met and unanimously selected 33 best press works to award prizes.

Including 3 A Prizes, 5 B Prizes, 10 C Prizes and 15 Encouragement Prizes; at the same time, 2 typical press agencies with many quality works were selected to participate in the competition.

Nhan Dan Newspaper was honored to receive 1 B Prize with the work: Building Hanoi culture and people to meet the requirements of the new era by authors: Nguyen Chi Dung, Kieu Thanh Huong (Resident Reporter Management Board).
