Meeting of artists and intellectuals on the occasion of Spring At Ty 2025

On the afternoon of February 12, 2025, at the Provincial Conference Center, the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province solemnly organized a meeting of artists and intellectuals on the occasion of the Spring of At Ty 2025. Attending the meeting were comrade Nguyen Ho Hai, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrade Nguyen Duc Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrade Pham Thanh Ngai, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrade Le Thi Nhung, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Executive Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; along with comrades of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of provincial departments, branches, sectors, and organizations and 265 delegates representing artists and intellectuals of the province.

The activity aims to recognize and commend the contributions of artists and intellectuals in the province in 2024; at the same time, create opportunities for artists and intellectuals to meet, exchange, share ideas and experiences in work; continue to be creative and contribute to the socio -economic development of the province. In recent years, with the attention and direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, along with the active coordination and support of agencies, units and localities in the province, the activities of artists and intellectuals in the province have been favorable, with a suitable environment for creativity, promoting talents and strengths through many activities in each specialized field.

In the field of literature and art, in 2024, the artists continued to receive deep attention from the provincial leaders. Artists in the province complied well with the Party's guidelines, policies, and laws of the State; and promoted patriotism. Through their literary and artistic works, artists and writers vividly reflected current issues, socio-economics, national defense and security, and aspects of social life in Ca Mau province. Many artists with a passion for creativity were present in time and actively participated in composing to serve important events of the province such as visits and work in Ca Mau province by Central leaders; the 70th Anniversary of the Northern Rally; the 40th Anniversary of the victory of the Counter-Intelligence Plan CM12 and Project DN10 at Hon Da Bac Relic Site; Ca Mau Province Defense Area Exercise; Groundbreaking ceremony of the project to restore the historical relic of Dam Doi - Cai Nuoc - Cha La victory... In addition, many artists participated and won high prizes at provincial, regional and national competitions, gradually affirming the positive contribution of Ca Mau artists to the country's literature and art.

In the field of science and technology, the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations has coordinated with departments, branches, sectors, and member associations to promote information activities, disseminate scientific and technological knowledge, focusing on improving the quality of scientific seminars, social criticism and appraisal activities; mobilized intellectuals to participate in more than 300 scientific seminars; and more than 70 social criticism and appraisal activities.   Member and associate member organizations continue to develop in quantity and quality such as: Fisheries Association, Consumer Rights Protection Association, Young Entrepreneurs Association, Medical Association, Pharmaceutical Association, Preventive Medicine Association, Lawyers Association, Historical Science Association... in coordination with specialized sectors to organize training courses to foster and improve professional and technical qualifications to serve people's health care, apply scientific and technical advances in production and life; introduce and organize tours and study effective production models... for members to research, study and apply.

Continuing to promote the achieved results, in 2025, the fields of literature, arts and science and technology will focus on developing professional activities according to assigned functions and tasks. In particular, artists will be an important force in promoting the potential strengths of the locality to the region and the whole country, especially creating literary and artistic works to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels, term 2025 - 2030, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party. Participate in commenting Select outstanding literary and artistic works 50 years after the country's reunification. Participate in activities to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and the 65th anniversary of Ca Mau Literature and Arts Magazine. Participate in the 5th Phan Ngoc Hien Literature and Arts Award in 2025... The Union of Science and Technology Associations continues to promote the role and position of political and social organizations in gathering, uniting and promoting the creativity of the scientific and technological intellectual team.   In particular, coordinate with relevant departments and branches to organize scientific seminars, conduct social criticism and appraisal of projects in the province.

At the 2025 meeting of artists and intellectuals, to recognize and commend the achievements of artists, the leaders of Ca Mau province awarded 03 certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee to 03 authors who won national awards in 2024.
