Hứa Vĩ Văn makes a comeback in the film "Hill of Torture".

Actor Hua Wei Wen will return to the screen in the role of a lovesick man in Tu Van Pictures' latest film, "Hill of Torture." Directed by Luong Dinh Dung, the film is scheduled to begin filming in early 2025.

According to information from the production company Tu Van Pictures, Hua Wei Wen is currently preparing for filming. He is an actor with a distinguished acting career, highly regarded by professionals and loved by audiences. Hua Wei Wen is also a Vietnamese artist who participated in the jury for feature films at the International Film Festival. Hanoi International Film Festival Recently, producer Tu Van Pictures was very impressed with Hua Wei Wen's versatile acting abilities across many roles he has played and expects him to bring a fresh image through his haunting and captivating role in the horror film project set to be released in 2025.

The film script took over two years to write. When it came to casting, the casting team considered many options, but none were suitable. Finally, they suggested Hua Wei Wen, and the director gave a knowing smile. Later, a member of the crew shared that the director had said he really liked Hua Wei Wen because of his acting talent and suitability for the character, but to maintain objectivity, he remained silent while the casting team searched for a long time. The director shared that Hua Wei Wen possesses a depth of inner emotion that few have fully explored, and the contrast between his image as a sophisticated gentleman and the dark world of horror films would create a breakthrough for the character. This was not only a bold move for the film and the actor but also offered a fresh experience for the audience.

Confirming his participation in "The Hill of Torture," Hua Wei Wen said that he really loves his character in the new film script because in "The Hill of Torture," he appears with a fresh image unlike anything he's seen in his previous films.

Hứa Vĩ Văn revealed that he had received many offers to participate in horror films before, but what made him collaborate with Tứ Vân Pictures was the unique script of "Hill of Torture." Hứa Vĩ Văn plays a refined, intellectual, and deeply in love man; the challenge lies in portraying the character's contrasting psychological states. The producer revealed that Hứa Vĩ Văn's co-star is a beauty queen who emerged from a beauty pageant and "still has a pristine, natural face."

The production team expected the cast to not only possess cinematic beauty but also have acting styles that suited the characters in the film. Besides Hua Wei Wen, who closely embodies the character and delivers impressive performances, the main cast was also carefully selected to meet the director's requirements.

"The Hill of Torture" is a horror film project based on folklore about a guardian spirit, with unsolved secrets, traditions, and customs that have existed for hundreds of years. From strange phenomena, the audience gradually begins to discover the source of the evil forces and the true nature of the people behind the "decent facade" of the characters.

Filming is scheduled to begin in January 2025 in Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City. The film is expected to be released to audiences in 2025 and participate in major, prestigious film festivals around the world.
