Previously, Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages - Information Technology (HUFLIT) also achieved the quality accreditation standard for educational institutions in cycle 02, granted by the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.
Continuing to affirm the quality of training.
Following the accreditation of English Language, Information Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, International Business, and Economic Law programs, HUFLIT continues to receive accreditation for its undergraduate Oriental Studies program. This is a significant milestone in the university's efforts to improve the quality of its training.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Ho Dac Hai Mien, Deputy Director of the Center for Quality Assurance in Education, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, stated: "Educational quality is always the top priority, and achieving accreditation is not only proof of the school's tireless efforts, but also a commitment to society regarding the quality of training that the school provides."
According to the Ministry of Education and Training's plan, by 2025, in addition to quality accreditation of educational institutions, each university must have at least 35% of its training programs accredited. Thus, as of now, with 50% of programs meeting accreditation standards, the target set by the Ministry of Education and Training has been exceeded.
Ms. Ho Dac Hai Mien, M.Sc. - Deputy Director of the Center for Quality Assurance in Education, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City - delivered a speech at the ceremony.
The quality of education is identified as the guiding principle for the University's continuous improvement and development. The success of HUFLIT students across all fields is clear evidence that the University always prioritizes the quality of education, placing learners at the center of its focus to adjust, update, and improve both the curriculum and teaching methods.
Over 32 years of formation and development, the University has continuously strived to surpass the limitations of traditional universities, becoming a university recognized by society for its impressive achievements in education, innovation, and a focus on modern, experiential, and practical learning methods, thereby equipping students with a solid foundation of knowledge before entering the labor market.
HUFLIT spends 13 billion VND per year to lend to students for tuition fees.
Students are eligible to borrow money from the Student Support Fund (as per regulations) to pay tuition fees without interest. After graduation and starting work, students will repay the principal within 2 years.
This is one of the school's new support policies for students. On the very first day of enrollment for the 2024-2025 academic year, five new students received support from this fund (10 million VND per case).
Previously, four second-year and third-year students also received loans to cover tuition fees. The student receiving the highest amount of financial support received 30.75 million VND. The total amount allocated from the HUFLIT Student Support Fund for the first phase was 132.83 million VND.
In addition, at the Opening Ceremony, the School also announced a scholarship fund for students in the 2024-2025 academic year worth 11 billion VND.
On this occasion, the School awarded two scholarships worth 50% of the tuition fee for the entire course (approximately 25 million VND) to the two top-scoring entrance exam candidates and 36 scholarships worth 25% of the tuition fee for the entire course (approximately 12.5 million VND) to the top-scoring candidates in their respective majors. These scholarships are awarded for the first year, and can be maintained in subsequent years.
In addition, the University also awards many scholarships to new students, such as companion scholarships, experience scholarships, and stepping-by-step scholarships, with a total value of 2.3 billion VND.
In addition to scholarships funded by the school's budget, the school also receives much support and assistance from businesses and philanthropists with the aim of jointly caring for students.
At the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 academic year, businesses donated a total of nearly 1.5 billion VND to the HUFLIT scholarship fund. Prior to that, in the 2023-2024 academic year, the university received support from businesses, organizations, and international universities with a total scholarship value of nearly 8 billion VND.
The school's consistent efforts to strengthen partnerships and collaborations with leading corporations and businesses in various fields help students enhance their learning experiences, gain practical experience early on, and create more opportunities for internships, apprenticeships, and employment even while still in school.
Cherish your time and use it meaningfully.
Sharing his thoughts at the opening ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, the school's principal, addressed over 5000 new students: "At HUFLIT, we always believe that learning is not limited to books and classrooms. Your learning will be expanded to many other aspects of life. Specialized knowledge is important, but practical experience and life experiences outside of school are equally important."
Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Rector of HUFLIT - shared his thoughts with new students at the Opening Ceremony of the 2024-2025 academic year.
The school always prioritizes providing students with opportunities for internships and practical experience at businesses and social organizations. Thanks to these experiences, students will have the chance to apply their knowledge to practice, gain a better understanding of the work environment, and learn how to solve complex problems in life.
