On March 17, 2025, the school was honored to be awarded a plaque to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Hanoi Party Committee. Two months later, in May 2025, the school was recognized for achieving level 3 educational quality accreditation - the highest level according to the standards of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training. By August 2025, Khuong Thuong Secondary School continued to make a mark when it was recognized for achieving level 2 national standards, affirming a solid step forward in the journey of innovation and improving the quality of comprehensive education.

Currently, the school has 80 cadres, teachers and employees, including 20 masters, 31 party members and 11 comrades with advanced and intermediate levels of political theory. With 37 classes and more than 1,500 students, Khuong Thuong Secondary School is a united, creative, dedicated collective, constantly aiming for the goal of sustainable development.

Khuong Thuong Secondary School was formerly Trung Liet Secondary School, located in Dong Da Ward. In 1975, the school was renamed Khuong Thuong Primary and Secondary School. From the early days of many difficulties, under the leadership of generations of teachers, the school gradually affirmed its position with outstanding achievements in teaching and learning, becoming a bright spot of education in the old Dong Da district.

In 1990, the school was divided into two separate levels. In 2000, after merging with Trung Tu Secondary School, Khuong Thuong Secondary School was officially established under Decision No. 878/QD-UB of the former Dong Da District People's Committee. Since then, the school has entered a period of strong development, continuously achieving the titles of Excellent Advanced Collective, Friendly School - Active Students, Excellent Advanced School in Sports at the City level.
