Rename Nguyen Du High School, located in Quang Hung commune (established by the People's Committee of the former Hung Yen province) to Newton Hung Yen High School.
Rename Tran Hung Dao High School, located in Phu Duc commune (established by the People's Committee of the former Thai Binh province) to Tran Quoc Tuan High School.
Rename Hung Vuong High School, located in Vu Thu commune (established by the People's Committee of the former Thai Binh province) to Lac Long Quan High School.
The Provincial People's Committee requires the renamed high schools to inherit the original organizational structure, assets, and students of the private high schools before the name change. Carry out the procedures to re-register the seal sample according to regulations.
At the same time, it is under the direct management and professional direction of the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen and the inspection, supervision and monitoring of competent authorities according to the provisions of law.
After the merger, Hung Yen has 71 high schools (54 public schools and 17 non-public schools); 2 continuing education centers, 18 vocational education and continuing education centers, 1 specialized education school and 1 secondary school for the disabled.
Apart from 4 private high schools whose names were changed and vocational education and continuing education centers whose names were removed from district and city levels, most educational units kept their names as before the province's merger.
