Hung Yen: Summary of the movement "Old age - Bright example"

On May 16, the Provincial Association of the Elderly (NCT) held a conference to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly (May 10, 1995 - May 10, 2025) and summarize the patriotic emulation movement "Old age - Bright example" for the period 2021 - 2025.

At the conference, delegates reviewed the tradition of the Vietnam Association of the Elderly over 30 years of construction and development; evaluated the results of the patriotic emulation movement "Old age - Bright example" of the Provincial Association of the Elderly in the period of 2021 - 2025.

In the period of 2021 - 2025, the Elderly Association at all levels in the province has actively participated in the patriotic emulation movement "Old age - Bright example" associated with studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh. Currently, the whole province has more than 243 thousand members of the Elderly Association, of which more than 4 thousand elderly members participate in Party work, government work, the Front and mass organizations; more than 100 thousand elderly people directly participate in economic development; tens of thousands of elderly people directly participate in the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" ...

In addition, the care for the elderly was carried out promptly, practically and effectively; the association at all levels coordinated to organize more than 11,000 officials and members to visit, have health check-ups, provide health consultations and provide free medicine.

The work of promoting the role of the elderly is carried out synchronously in areas such as: the elderly participate in building the grassroots political system, economic development, environmental protection, building advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, encouraging learning, encouraging talents, preventing and combating crimes and social evils, etc.

In the period of 2025 - 2030, the Elderly Association at all levels in the province will focus on building a strong association; regularly innovate content and methods and improve the quality of activities; create conditions for members to live happily, healthily and joyfully; effectively carry out the work of caring for the elderly; continue to promote the emulation movement "Old age - Good example" associated with "Studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh " and implementing socio-economic development goals in the locality...
