How to integrate dependent information into VneID

To integrate dependent information into VNeID, people perform the following steps:

- Step 1: Check the application version. To integrate dependent information into VneID, the application version must be 2.0.7.

To check the app version, people log in to the app and select “Personal”. The app version is located at the bottom of the page.

- Step 2: Select “Paper Wallet”. Then select “Integrate information”

- Step 3: Select “Create new request”

- Step 4: Click on the arrow to select information. Then select “dependent”

- Step 5: Enter all the required information on the application. Finally, select “Send request”

Who are dependents?

Dependents include:

Group (1) Children: biological children, legally adopted children, illegitimate children, wife's stepchildren, husband's stepchildren, specifically including:

(1.1) Children under 18 years old (calculated by full month).

Example 10: Mr. H's child born on July 25, 2014 is considered a dependent from July 2014.

(1.2) Children aged 18 and over with disabilities who are unable to work.

(1.3) Children studying in Vietnam or abroad at university, college, vocational high school, vocational training, including children aged 18 and over studying at high school (including the time waiting for university entrance exam results from June to September of grade 12) have no income or have an average monthly income in the year from all sources of income not exceeding 1,000,000 VND.

Group (2) The taxpayer's spouse meets the conditions in section 3.

Group (3) Biological father, biological mother; father-in-law, mother-in-law (or father-in-law, mother-in-law); stepfather, stepmother; legal adoptive father, adoptive mother of the taxpayer who meets the conditions in section 3.

Group (4) Other individuals without support that the taxpayer is directly supporting and meets the conditions in section 3 include:

(4.1) Full brothers, full sisters, full siblings of the taxpayer.

(4.2) Paternal grandfather, paternal grandmother; maternal grandfather, maternal grandmother; paternal aunt, paternal uncle, paternal uncle of the taxpayer.

(4.3) Taxpayer's nieces and nephews include: children of biological brothers, biological sisters, and biological siblings.

(4.4) Other persons who must directly support others according to the provisions of law.

Conditions to be counted as dependent

Individuals considered dependents in groups 2, 3, 4 must meet the following conditions:

- For people of working age, the following conditions must be met at the same time:

+ Disabled, unable to work.

+ No income or average monthly income in the year from all sources of income does not exceed 1,000,000 VND.

- For people outside of working age, they must have no income or have an average monthly income in the year from all sources of income not exceeding 1,000,000 VND.

Family deduction for dependents

Family deductions include: family deductions for the taxpayer himself and family deductions for dependents.

The family deduction level in 2023 is implemented according to Resolution 954/2020/UBTVQH14, as follows:

- The deduction for taxpayers is 11 million VND/month (132 million VND/year);

- The deduction for each dependent is 4.4 million VND/month.

Thus, the family deduction for dependents is 4.4 million VND/month.
