Rich and diverse agricultural products

Talking about the potential and strengths of the province's typical products, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Dao Anh Tuan said: "As of August 2025, the whole province has 372 products recognized as meeting OCOP standards, of which 3 products are 5 stars, 63 products are 4 stars (2 potential 5-star products) and 306 products are 3 stars.

This is a testament to the efforts to develop typical products associated with regional strengths, while creating competitive advantages in connecting domestic and international markets. In the field of rural industrial production, Quang Tri also made a clear mark with 21 products certified at the national level, 71 products at the Central Highlands region level and 404 products at the provincial level, contributing to building the image of "Made in Quang Tri" products with prestige, quality and sustainability.

Quang Tri also owns agricultural, forestry and fishery products that are famous domestically and internationally, such as: Coffee, pepper, organic rice, potatoes, honey, bird's nest, rubber. In particular, the fishery industry has developed strongly thanks to abundant resources, along with high-value processed products, meeting export needs, such as: Traditional fish sauce, dried squid, dried fish...

In addition, the province is also highly appreciated for its medicinal potential, with many products processed from lingzhi mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, Solanum procumbens, Vằng tea, xạ đen, cajeput essential oil, lemongrass essential oil, and turmeric starch. These are products that are both economically valuable and contribute to community health care.

Affirming position in the integration journey

After the merger, the industrial-logistics development space of Quang Tri province is organized along the strategic North-South and East-West axes, closely linked with the North-South Expressway, National Highway 1, National Highway 9, East-West Economic Corridor (EWEC), Ho Chi Minh Road, seaport system (My Thuy, Cua Viet, Cua Tung, Hon La) and North-South railway.

This is an outstanding advantage that helps Quang Tri become an effective transit and trade connection point between domestic regions and the ASEAN region. In addition to promoting the implementation of many strategic infrastructure projects, the province is making breakthroughs with a series of wind and solar power projects, contributing to affirming the orientation of developing green energy associated with manufacturing, assembling equipment and supporting industries.

Quang Tri is currently implementing synchronous policies to support businesses according to Resolution 58/NQ-CP of the Government and projects of the Provincial People's Committee. Accordingly, the province focuses on land access, credit, administrative procedure reform, digital transformation, trade promotion (XTTM), and investment in the pillars of industry-agriculture-services.

In the Southeast Economic Zone and industrial parks and industrial clusters, investors enjoy corporate income tax incentives, land rent exemptions and reductions, infrastructure support, and a comprehensive “one-stop” support mechanism. Some projects are also subject to a preferential tax rate of 17% for 10 years, contributing to increasing sustainable investment attraction.

In line with Directive No. 18/CT-TTg, dated June 18, 2025 of the Prime Minister, Quang Tri province has developed a Trade Promotion Program for the period 2026-2030, orienting the selection and development of key product groups associated with national brands; promoting fairs, connecting supply and demand, and trade promotion via digital platforms; integrating trade promotion activities with cultural and tourism events to expand domestic and international markets.

"The province is also aiming for green-smart logistics, building the Southeast Quang Tri logistics center and satellite networks in border economic zones, applying the "one-stop-one-stop" mechanism and offering special incentives for logistics enterprises associated with production and processing. All are aimed at the goal of modern and comprehensive trade promotion and connection," Mr. Dao Anh Tuan emphasized.

With a rich product base, strategic geographical location, synchronous infrastructure, attractive investment environment and modern development vision, Quang Tri is a vivid proof of the economic resilience of a land rich in identity, dynamic and always open to welcome domestic and foreign investors and businesses.
