On August 17, it rained in the Cuc Phuong National Park area, causing many difficulties in the search. So far, the authorities have only found the backpack of tourist NQM (born in 1992, residing in Hai Phong City).

Ninh Binh Provincial Police have mobilized dozens of officers, soldiers, and staff of Cuc Phuong National Park, along with sniffer dogs to assist in the search.
Currently, Mr. NQM's relatives are also present at the scene, waiting for information.
According to initial information, on the afternoon of August 13, Mr. NQM arrived at Cuc Phuong National Park and rented a room in the Bong area (the resting place is deep in the forest, about 20km from the entrance, with no phone signal).

On the morning of August 14, the male tourist left the accommodation to visit the thousand-year-old Acacia trees (about 3km from Bong area). On the way, the tourist stopped at Son Cung cave (about 2km from Bong) and lost contact from there.
According to the leader of the Cuc Phuong Environmental Education and Services Center, the search team has thoroughly searched inside and outside Son Cung cave but has not discovered any more traces.
Currently, forces are actively searching related areas.
