(ABO) The People's Committee of Cho Gao district, Tien Giang province has just held a meeting to check the progress and roadmap for building a new rural commune (NTM) model of Binh Ninh commune.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Binh Ninh commune, in 2023, the commune maintained the standard of 19/19 criteria for advanced NTM commune. The commune mobilized the entire political system and people to focus on implementing 4 contents of building a model NTM such as: Achieving national standards for advanced NTM commune in the period of 2022 - 2025. In 2024, the Commune Steering Committee continued to focus on overcoming the limited criteria and targets.

Average income per capita in 2023 is 72.19 million VND/person/year. The People's Committee of the commune focuses on implementing social security and poverty reduction policies; supporting housing for policy households, poor households, and near-poor households; creating conditions for companies, enterprises, and production and business establishments to maintain and develop production.
The commune has at least one smart hamlet model. Through a field survey, the Commune Steering Committee plans to select Hoa My hamlet as a pilot hamlet and Hoa Lac hamlet as a model hamlet. The Commune People's Committee coordinates with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Cho Gao district to build a VietGAP model on coconut trees and register a QR code to trace the origin of the product.
The Commune People's Committee has directed the departments to coordinate in implementing the steps of purchasing with budget capital to ensure the process of arranging security surveillance cameras at the entrances/exits of Hoa My Hamlet. For Hoa Lac Hamlet, the commune will mobilize socialization. At the same time, coordinate with VNPT Cho Gao to survey, provide technical support as well as carry out the installation in the near future.

Meeting the criteria specified in the model new rural commune in at least one of the outstanding fields in production or environmental landscape and at least 1 other field in the fields such as: Education, culture, tourism, security and order, digital transformation... with typical local values, the commune chooses an outstanding model in the field of production of livestock models applying science and technology, high technology associated with linking product consumption of chicken farms Le Van Hung and Le Van Doan (Hoa Phu hamlet); 2 coconut fiber production facilities Minh Minh Tam (Hoa Phu hamlet) and Thanh Long (Binh Quoi Thuong hamlet).
In 2024, Binh Ninh commune will strengthen guidance for people to submit documents online and use public services online. All outgoing documents of the Commune People's Committee are digitally signed and exchanged completely electronically on the network environment.

Deputy Chief of Office of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Trung Nam noted that the commune should review the criteria, on that basis, develop a plan and implementation roadmap; for any criteria that are completed, the dossier should be completed and submitted to the relevant levels for appraisal and recognition.
Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Committee Pham Hung Vinh said that the commune needs to maximize the spirit of solidarity, continue to strengthen propaganda and mobilization work, and uphold the sense of responsibility, self-reliance and self-reliance of cadres, party members and people in implementing the model new rural criteria.
At the same time, assign staff to be in charge of each criterion, regularly monitor closely to urge, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles, and be resolute in directing and operating the construction of model new rural areas; especially focusing on implementing outstanding models.
Binh Ninh Commune closely coordinates with relevant departments and offices of the district in completing unachieved targets and criteria, completing documents proving the results of implementing the criteria for building a model new rural area according to the set schedule.
