Hyphen Deux Announces HDx32U Microcontroller Chip at Innovate Vietnam 2025

Hyphen Deux announced the successful tape-out (production) of the company's first microcontroller chip - HDx32U, marking an important milestone in its journey to contribute to the Vietnamese semiconductor ecosystem.

The announcement was shared by Mr. Nam Nguyen - General Director of Hyphen Deux in a special speech at the forum "Promoting Innovation, Developing Strategic Technology Industries", within the framework of the National Innovation Day and International Exhibition of Vietnam Innovation 2025 (Innovate Vietnam 2025), taking place from October 1-3, 2025 in Hanoi .

The HDx32U chip is designed as a general-purpose, energy-efficient microcontroller suitable for a wide range of IoT and industrial applications. The successful tape-out marks the transition from design to production - an important achievement for Hyphen Deux and a strong signal of innovation in the semiconductor sector in Vietnam.

At the forum, Hyphen Deux was also honored to present a simulation painting of the HDx32U microcontroller chip design to Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, expressing the aspiration and determination to make Vietnam one of the key countries in global semiconductor technology.

Previously, in June 2025, Hyphen Deux signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Innovation Center (NIC) to promote cooperation in semiconductor development, human resource training and technological innovation. This agreement further strengthens the company's mission to contribute to building Vietnam's position in the global semiconductor value chain.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nam Nguyen emphasized: “The HDx32U chip tape-out is not only a success for Hyphen Deux, but also a testament to what Vietnam can achieve. With the support of the Government, partners and customers, we believe that Vietnam can completely become a global semiconductor center.”

In addition to its own chip development projects, Hyphen Deux also expands to provide comprehensive semiconductor design services, including custom chip design, ASIC development, core IP and Turnkey solutions, helping domestic and foreign partners shorten the time from bringing design ideas to actual products to market.

Hyphen Deux was established in 2022, operating in the field of semiconductor chip design with an R&D office located in the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park. The company focuses on designing analog chips, digital chips, embedded systems, specialized integrated chips - ASICs, microcontroller chip systems and AI artificial intelligence software applied in the medical field; one of the pioneers in Vietnam providing complete solutions from design to production, packaging and testing.
