OpenAI officially launched ChatGPT Go in 16 Asian countries, including Vietnam. The package costs 120,000 VND and 12,000 VND VAT, a total of 132,000 VND per month.

This is ChatGPT's cheapest plan, offering access to GPT-5, higher message and upload limits, faster image generation, expanded memory and context, limited in-depth research, and custom GPT.

Thus, ChatGPT Go competes directly with Google AI Plus, priced at 122,000 VND/month. Google AI Plus allows users to access the most powerful Gemini 2.5 Pro model and the Deep Research feature on the 2.5 Pro model, create videos (limited quantity) with Veo 3 Fast, use NotebookLM or integrate Gemini in the Google ecosystem, with 200GB shared for Photos, Drive and Gmail.

In addition to the free plan, OpenAI is also selling two other plans for individual users in Vietnam, including ChatGPT Plus for VND522,500/month and ChatGPT Pro for VND5,225,000/month. These two plans include Sora video creation and Codex agent. The Pro plan allows for a preview of new features.

Business users now have the ChatGPT Business option for VND 649,000/person/month.

ChatGPT Go was launched amid a rapid increase in AI usage among Vietnamese people. According to Decision Lab's Vietnam Consumer AI Market 2025 report, ChatGPT is the most popular AI tool with 81% market share, followed by Gemini (51%) and Meta AI (36%).
