Inter Milan want to rescue Zirkzee

According to Corriere dello Sport , Inter Milan believe they could sign Zirkzee on loan with an option to buy. Coach Simone Inzaghi wants to improve the squad depth, especially in the attacking positions. The club's board sees a huge gap between the quality of the main striker pair (Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram) and the reserve options such as Joaquin Correa, Marko Arnautovic and Mehdi Taremi.

Although Inter have reached the Champions League final, they are behind Napoli in the Serie A title race. Inzaghi's side were also eliminated in the Coppa Italia semi-finals and lost in the Italian Super Cup final. To be competitive in all competitions, Inter believe that adding another quality striker is necessary.
