Inter Milan accelerates championship race, Napoli drops victory

Inter Milan continued their impressive run of form after a dramatic 4-3 win over Barcelona in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final. Although many key players such as Lautaro Martinez, Pavard and Mkhitaryan were rested, coach Simone Inzaghi still had a squad capable of causing an overwhelming defeat.

The "Nerazzurri" opened the scoring thanks to a spectacular goal by young talent Nicola Zalewski with a dangerous curling shot after a beautiful solo play.

The match was interrupted for about 30 minutes due to heavy rain that flooded the pitch. When it resumed, Inter still maintained their dominance. In the second half, Mehdi Taremi won a penalty after a collision with goalkeeper Savic, and Kristjan Asllani easily doubled the lead from the 11m mark.

However, Napoli's defense made consecutive mistakes, allowing Genoa to equalize 2-2 thanks to Meret's own goal and Vasquez's header late in the match.

This result caused Napoli to drop the victory and Inter to narrow the gap to just 1 point, making the Serie A championship race more thrilling than ever.
