The iPhone 16 Pro Max will have major changes.

According to MacRumors, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be the first iPhone model to feature a periscope lens.

The periscope lens on the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a focal length of 300mm.

Currently, the telephoto camera on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro has an equivalent focal length of 77mm. According to MacRumors , the periscope lens on the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a focal length of up to 300mm.

Most likely, this new upgrade will only appear on the top-of-the-line iPhone 16 Pro Max. Meanwhile, the Pro version will still be equipped with a telephoto lens similar to its predecessors. This move by Apple aims to create more differentiation between the Pro and Pro Max product lines.

Recently, analyst Ross Young from Display Supply Chain Consultants also stated that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will have increased screen sizes to 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively.

If the leaked information is accurate, this would be the largest screen size ever seen on an iPhone. Currently, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max have screen sizes of 6.1 inches and 6.7 inches, respectively. These sizes are expected to be maintained on the iPhone 15 Pro generation.

Previously, The Elec reported that the iPhone 16 Pro would feature Face ID technology under the screen.

Accordingly, Apple is reportedly planning to move Face ID directly under the iPhone's screen in 2024. When not in use, the TrueDepth camera system will seamlessly integrate with the surrounding screen area.
