Apple has officially launched the 17th generation of iPhone, with the focus being the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. This latest phone model attracts attention for possessing a series of advanced technologies, usually only appearing on high-end gaming computers.
The iPhone 17 Pro duo is equipped with a high-refresh-rate screen, comes with the introduction of blockbuster gaming capabilities (AAA) and supports advanced Ray tracing technology.
Ray Tracing is an advanced rendering technique that simulates the way light interacts with objects to create realistic images. The technology traces the path of light rays to calculate reflections, refractions, and shadows, giving games and movies depth and life. Because it requires powerful hardware, Ray Tracing is usually only available on high-end gaming computers.
In particular, Apple also said that it has integrated dedicated AI processing cores into the GPU, a device that is not unfamiliar to PC gamers. These upgrades show that Apple is shaping the iPhone 17 Pro as a powerful gaming device.

The iPhone 17 Pro also has a vapor chamber cooling system for both the CPU and GPU. This technology is not new in the smartphone market, but its inclusion in the new iPhone shows that the device is oriented towards high and stable performance.
This shows that Apple is focusing on increasing the ability to handle heavy tasks like gaming, instead of just increasing raw power, a feature commonly found in high-end PCs or gaming laptops.
According to Apple, the vapor chamber on the iPhone 17 Pro uses sealed deionized water to move heat away from the A19 Pro chip. The heat is then transferred and evenly distributed throughout the aluminum unibody, helping to effectively manage surface temperatures, ensuring high performance while still being comfortable for users to hold.
According to Apple's announcement, the vapor chamber technology on the iPhone 17 Pro helps the A19 Pro chip maintain 40% higher performance than the A18 Pro chip on the previous generation.
This is reminiscent of Nvidia's development strategy. The latest RTX 50-series GPUs, such as the RTX 5070, also only bring small performance improvements compared to the previous RTX 40 series.

Similar to Nvidia's GPUs, Apple has integrated "Neural Accelerators" into the GPU of the A19 Pro chip. In essence, this is the hardware equivalent of the Tensor cores on Nvidia's graphics cards, used to handle tasks related to artificial intelligence (AI).
These neural accelerators will be able to upscale images directly on the GPU, significantly improving response times and reducing latency, a familiar performance optimization method widely used on high-performance gaming PCs.
With many notable upgrades, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is expected to be "sold out" in the first phase due to high demand from users. To ensure a good price and early delivery, users should choose reputable store chains.
