According to leaked information from China, Apple is testing three new color options for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, but may ultimately choose only one color finish for production.
This information was shared by the Instant Digital account on the social media platform Weibo, which has previously provided accurate leaks about Apple products. According to them, Apple is considering three colors: burgundy, earthy brown, and purple. However, Instant Digital stated that the company only plans to implement one of these three colors for the iPhone Pro generation launching in 2026.
This source has previously accurately predicted the gold color for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, as well as the Milanese Loop titanium band for the Apple Watch Ultra 2. However, Instant Digital isn't always completely accurate, so the final color options could still change.
Currently, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models come in three main colors: silver, cosmic orange, and deep blue. Furthermore, analysts are unsure whether Apple plans to refine the color options for the next generation of iPhones.
If the final choice is burgundy, this would be the first time the iPhone Pro line has appeared in a red tone. Unlike the bright red previously used for the standard versions, the red on Apple's high-end smartphone line seems deeper and more luxurious, fitting the signature titanium material of the Pro series.
Meanwhile, purple was previously seen on the iPhone 14 Pro, while brown is a color Apple has never used on any iPhone model before.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models are expected to launch in September 2026, so it's still too early to confirm Apple's final decision on color. However, this information suggests the company is still exploring ways to refresh the design to create a distinctive look for its top-of-the-line product.
