"Given Israel's continued attacks in Lebanon, and considering that Lebanon is one of the prerequisites for a ceasefire agreement, the Iranian negotiating team is temporarily suspending talks and exchanging documents through mediators," Tasnim reported.

Iran has called on Israel to immediately end the fighting in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon. Tasnim stated, “Until the positions of Iran and its allies on these issues are met, there will be no negotiations.”

Tasnim also reported that Tehran and its allied armed groups in the region have warned of the possibility of “completely closing the Strait of Hormuz and activating other fronts,” including the Bab el-Mandeb Strait in the southern Red Sea, where the Iranian-backed Houthi movement in Yemen has previously carried out attacks on passing ships.

The US and Iranian governments have not commented on this information.

Earlier that day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the Israeli army to attack the Dahieh district in Beirut, Lebanon – an area that is a stronghold of Hezbollah. An Israeli official told CNN that the plan to attack Beirut had been coordinated with the United States.

The US shot down an Iranian missile aimed at Kuwait.

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) issued a statement saying it shot down two Iranian ballistic missiles targeting U.S. troops stationed in Kuwait. This is the latest in a series of attacks that further undermine the fragile ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran.

According to CENTCOM, Iran's missile attacks on June 1st were "intercepted immediately," and no American soldiers were injured.

“CENTCOM remains vigilant and will continue to defend our forces from Iranian attacks while supporting the ongoing ceasefire,” the post on X stated.

The Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry also condemned the Iranian attacks, calling them a “dangerous escalation,” and affirmed its right to take necessary measures to hold Iran “fully accountable.”

The Iranian launches followed CENTCOM's attacks on Iranian radar stations and drone command centers over the weekend.

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei affirmed on June 1st that the country has the right to carry out retaliatory attacks on "bases and assets" in the region used to conduct attacks against Iran.
