Hamas-Israel conflict:

On November 9, the Israeli government released data on the war with Hamas, which broke out from October 7 until now.
Specifically, about 9,500 missiles, rockets and dozens of drones were launched towards Israel from the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen. Israel's air defense system carried out thousands of successful interceptions at all levels of defense, from the Dov Mountains in the north to the Red Sea in the south.

At the same time, the military is also preparing for more extreme scenarios such as the possibility of opening new battlefields or conflict zones. For the first time, Israel's multi-layered air defense systems such as Iron Dome, David Sling, Diamond and Arrow-3 have been put into continuous operation.
According to the Israeli military (IDF) spokesman, in the first four hours of the war, about 3,000 rockets and missiles were launched into the Jewish state. In comparison, 4,400 rockets were launched during the 34-day Lebanon War in 2006, and about 4,500 rockets were fired during the 51-day Operation Protective Edge in 2014.

* On the same day, the IDF said an unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacked an elementary school in the city of Eilat, in the far south of Israel, causing damage to infrastructure and panic.
The IDF has not yet determined the origin of the UAV and no organization or individual has claimed responsibility for the incident. Israeli security officials are leaning towards the hypothesis that the UAV may have been launched by the Houthi movement from Yemen. Authorities are currently investigating the route of the UAV to see if it flew over Jordan or Egypt.

That same night, sirens sounded in the city of Eilat, the town of Eilot and the industrial area of Shchoret as a series of rockets were fired towards the city. Shortly afterwards, IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said that the Arrow-3 air defense system had to be activated to intercept the hostile rockets fired towards the southernmost region of Israel.
* In a related development on the same day, US-based security firm CrowdStrike accused Iranian-sponsored hacker groups of staging cyberattacks against Israeli logistics and transportation businesses and technology companies with the aim of stealing data, credentials or taking over system administration. CrowdStrike said it had detected hacker groups conducting cyberattacks on the Israeli private sector during its cyber monitoring from 2022-2023.
