(To Quoc) - Vietnam still has a lot of room to develop tourism strongly in the coming time with a larger scale, higher efficiency, higher revenue, less environmental impact and more sustainability. In which, there needs to be a combination between the State and enterprises, between enterprises and the community; that is, it requires a connection, overcoming the situation of going it alone, each doing it on their own.
On December 9, the Conference on tourism promotion in 2025 organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism took place in Hoi An City ( Quang Nam Province). Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong and Director of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Nguyen Trung Khanh chaired the conference.

Innovation in tourism promotion activities
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho An Phong commented: In 2024, tourism is a bright spot in Vietnam's economic picture. Accordingly, Vietnam will achieve and exceed the target of 17 million international visitors, an increase of more than 41% over the same period last year, completely recovering the flow of international visitors after COVID-19.
Another clear example is that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and delivered a speech at three tourism promotion programs in Korea and China organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This sent a strong message that it is necessary to innovate activities to promote the national image of Vietnam.
Deputy Minister Ho An Phong said that in reality in Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), it can be seen that tourists are returning in large numbers and staying in 4-star or 5-star hotels, meaning they spend more.
"This result is thanks to our appropriate market promotion, focusing on revenue and product quality, focusing on quality over quantity," said Deputy Minister Ho An Phong.

However, according to the Deputy Minister, many destinations in Nha Trang are still deserted, proving the need for suitable products, new and higher requirements. Those working in tourism must reflect on this and make appropriate choices for the products. We build products to meet market needs, on the one hand supply must meet demand, on the other hand supply must be developed to create demand.
In 2024, Vietnam also continued to resolve issues related to visa policies, create a favorable environment, innovate tourism promotion and state management... Many innovations have created the desired results.
"If you want to go far, go together"
Deputy Minister Ho An Phong noted that Vietnam still has a lot of room to develop tourism strongly in the coming time with a larger scale, higher efficiency, higher revenue, less environmental impact and more sustainability. In particular, activities to promote and introduce destinations, combining the State and enterprises, enterprises and the tourism community are very important; that is, requiring connection, and the nature of tourism is connection, overcoming the situation of going it alone, each person doing it on their own.
"The State does not do everything. The State only manages, directs, leads, plays a connecting role, and creates the best environment for tourism promotion... The combination between the State, businesses, and the tourism community is necessary. It is necessary to connect travel agencies, transportation, and restaurants to build combo packages to increase attractiveness and competitiveness. If you want to go far, you have to go together," the Deputy Minister emphasized.
