Connecting supply and demand expands job opportunities.

Thai Nguyen, a major industrial center in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region, is creating numerous job opportunities thanks to effective solutions connecting labor supply and demand. These solutions not only help people find jobs but also contribute to improving the quality of human resources and building a transparent and sustainable labor market.

With six major industrial zones including Song Cong I, Diem Thuy, Yen Binh, Song Cong II, Nam Pho Yen, and Yen Binh 3, the province has attracted over 100,000 workers, of which approximately 40% come from other provinces.

In addition, 27 industrial clusters with a total area of 1,073 hectares have become operational, attracting approximately 11,738 additional workers and making a significant contribution to local economic development.

To transform labor potential into a tangible resource, the Thai Nguyen Employment Service Center has implemented activities related to career counseling, guidance, and job placement.

In the first eight months of 2025, the Center served 18,837 job seekers, referred 2,832 people to jobs, and helped 924 people successfully secure employment in various sectors, from electronics factories to agricultural processing businesses.

Mr. Duong Dinh Ho, a young worker in Diem Thuy Industrial Park, shared: "The center advised and introduced me to many positions suitable for my technical and safety management training. Thanks to this, I found a stable job with a reasonable income to commit to long-term. Without these connections, my opportunities would be very limited."

Since the beginning of the year, Thai Nguyen has organized 11 job fairs (27 in-person sessions, 9 online sessions) and 2 thematic conferences. Particularly during the peak month (from April 24th to May 24th), more than 180 businesses participated, with recruitment and training needs reaching up to 30,000 workers.

Ms. Ma Thi Thiem, representative of Hong Ngoc Production and Trading Company, said: "The company has focused on producing wood for export orders, and at the same time plans to recruit more workers to increase capacity and improve product quality. Thanks to the cooperation of the Thai Nguyen Employment Service Center, through the job fair and online job exchange, we have been able to access many suitable workers, promptly supplementing the workforce for our production lines..."

Alongside its direct operations, the Employment Service Center focuses on developing online channels such as websites, fan pages, Zalo, YouTube, and e-job trading platforms. These channels not only ensure timely and transparent updates on the labor market but also provide maximum convenience for both businesses and job seekers.

Besides job placement services, labor market information dissemination has also become increasingly professional, with 138 newsletters, 56 online job postings, 1,600 job seekers reporting their interest, and 586 businesses registering to recruit through the platform.

In addition, the province is improving the quality of its workforce through vocational training in collaboration with businesses, meeting the needs of modern production, especially in the fields of high-tech agriculture and food processing.

Mr. Nguyen Van Huyen, Deputy Director of the Thai Nguyen Employment Service Center, said: "Our important orientation in the coming time is to expand support to mountainous areas and ethnic minority regions. We consider creating sustainable jobs for disadvantaged workers not only a professional task but also a social responsibility, contributing to long-term poverty reduction for the locality. In particular, mobile job fairs, consulting activities, entrepreneurship and vocational training are implemented to help people have the opportunity to access the labor market, thereby gradually increasing their income and stabilizing their lives..."
