Connecting supply and demand expands job opportunities

Thai Nguyen, the industrial center of the Northern Midlands and Mountains region, is opening up many job opportunities thanks to effective solutions to connect labor supply and demand. With 6 large industrial parks such as: Song Cong I, Diem Thuy, Yen Binh, Song Cong II, Nam Pho Yen and Yen Binh 3, the province has attracted more than 100,000 workers, of which about 40% come from other provinces.

In addition, 27 industrial clusters with a total area of 1,073 hectares have come into operation, attracting about 11,738 more workers, making an important contribution to local economic development.

To turn labor potential into real resources, Thai Nguyen Employment Service Center (DVVL) has implemented consulting, career orientation and job connection activities.

In the first 8 months of 2025, the Center served 18,837 workers, introduced 2,832 job seekers and helped 924 people pass the exam and stabilize their jobs in many industries, from electronics factories to agricultural processing enterprises.

Mr. Duong Dinh Ho, a young worker in Diem Thuy Industrial Park, shared: The center has advised and introduced many positions suitable for the technical expertise and safety management that I have been trained in. Thanks to that, I have found a stable job with a reasonable income to stick with for a long time. Without these connections, my opportunities would be very limited.

Since the beginning of the year, Thai Nguyen has organized 11 job fairs (27 live sessions, 9 online sessions) and 2 thematic conferences. Notably, during the peak month (from April 24 to May 24), more than 180 businesses participated, with the need to recruit and enroll up to 30,000 workers.

Ms. Ma Thi Thiem, representative of Hong Ngoc Production and Trading Company, said: The company has focused on production for export wood orders, and at the same time has a plan to recruit more workers to increase capacity and improve product quality. Thanks to the coordination of Thai Nguyen Employment Service Center, through job fairs and online trading sessions, we have approached many suitable workers, promptly supplementing human resources for production lines...

In parallel with direct activities, the Employment Service Center focuses on developing online channels such as websites, fanpages, Zalo, YouTube and electronic job exchanges. These channels not only help to update labor market information in a timely and transparent manner but also create maximum convenience for both businesses and employees.

Besides job connection, labor market information work is also increasingly professional with 138 newsletters, 56 online recruitment notices, 1,600 workers declaring job search and 586 businesses registering to recruit through the floor.

In addition, the province improves the quality of human resources through vocational training in coordination with businesses, meeting the needs of modern production, especially in the fields of high-tech agriculture and food processing.

Mr. Nguyen Van Huyen, Deputy Director of Thai Nguyen Employment Service Center, said: Our important orientation in the coming time is to expand support to mountainous areas and ethnic minority areas. We consider creating sustainable jobs for disadvantaged workers not only a professional task but also a social responsibility, contributing to long-term poverty reduction for the locality. In particular, mobile trading sessions, consulting activities, start-ups and vocational training are implemented to help people have opportunities to access the labor market, thereby gradually increasing their income and stabilizing their lives...
