Specifically, the Hoa Binh 5.1 Wind Power Plant Project is being implemented in Vinh Hau commune, with a scale of 16 wind turbines and a capacity of 80 MW. The Dong Hai 1 Wind Power Plant Project (phase 3) is being implemented in Dong Hai commune, with the planned construction of 8-10 wind turbines and a capacity of 50 MW.
Leveraging its coastal and offshore advantages, Ca Mau has developed wind power projects, bringing many positive effects and making important contributions to the socio -economic development of the locality and the country.
To date, Ca Mau province has 16 operational wind power projects with a total capacity of 870.2 MW, accounting for a significant proportion of the local industrial structure and making an important contribution to the province's economic growth . Currently, there are 2 wind power projects (Ca Mau 1A, Ca Mau 1B) with a total capacity of 176 MW expected to be put into operation soon.
In addition, the province is continuing to implement 10 wind power projects and has 22 projects with a total capacity of 1,393 MW included in the planning, which have attracted the attention and investment proposals of many businesses.
By continuously attracting and implementing wind power projects, Ca Mau is gradually affirming its direction of developing clean energy, adapting to climate change, contributing to ensuring energy security, and aiming towards the goal of exporting electricity in the future.
