According to a social media post, a shipper experienced delivering 75 cups of tea at the same time. This person called back to ask the customer why he ordered so much and received the answer that he had always ordered in large quantities. The shipper told the customer that if he ordered in large quantities, he should split the orders into many orders, not costing much more money to make the delivery person less tired. However, the customer disagreed and said that he had always ordered in large quantities and had people receiving them normally.
Many mixed opinions
Many people have questioned why drivers do not cancel large orders that are difficult to deliver to customers, but still accept deliveries and then express their opinions to customers. Some shippers believe that if they cancel orders without permission, they will lose their bonuses, and all previous efforts to deliver the correct orders will be considered... unacknowledged.
Besides, many people think that placing an order is the customer's responsibility, they can order as much as they want, but receiving and delivering the goods is the shipper's responsibility. The customer does not have to think about the shipper's hardship because they have paid for this service. If the delivery person finds the quantity is too large and cannot deliver, they can cancel the order for someone else to receive.
The incident attracted the attention of social network users.

Account Le Xanh commented: "Once I placed an order for 25-26 cups of coffee to treat my colleagues at the beginning of the shift at 6am. Two days before, I had to find the shop's phone number to ask in advance if the delivery was ready to be delivered on time, if it was packaged for the shipper to deliver. The shop was sure that I had just placed the order, and the shipper also called back to confirm. The more orders there are, the more careful and understanding you have to be, and charge the shipper more because each order doesn't cost much, even though it takes time to wait and the bulky transportation is not allowed to make any mistakes."
Thu Hien Le wrote: "The delivery app also has to adjust the limit of how many cups/shipment to ensure no breakage. I can't imagine how to pack 75 cups."
Account Le Minh Chanh shared: "The app does not have a rule for dividing orders, so the shipper has to bear it. The customer is not wrong, the shop is not wrong, the shipper has a hard time, but if the customer is a little more considerate, they should divide the order into smaller parts to make it less difficult for the shipper."
What do shippers and orderers say?
Mr. MH (29 years old), a shipper of a delivery app, said that it is normal for drivers to receive large, bulky orders. For large orders, he usually calls to confirm with the customer first, only when the customer is sure will he deliver. If he feels that he cannot deliver or the order is too far away, he will ask the customer to cancel in advance, if not, he will have to accept the cancellation himself and lose the bonus.
"For example, if a customer orders a cup of milk tea, the shipping fee is about 15,000 VND, and if they order 70 cups, the shipping fee is the same. With that amount of money, the shipper has to wait for the shop to finish the large order before delivering it. If the order is bulky, the wait is long, and there is not much shipping money, it is inevitable that they will be upset. However, if I have already accepted the delivery, I have to accept it, I cannot turn around and blame the customer for not dividing the order as I wanted," said Mr. MH.

Mr. Duong Huy Quan (28 years old), a shipper on a delivery app, shared that he receives many orders every day, including orders for just 1 glass of water but also orders for dozens of glasses, the quantity is compensated for each order. He often flexibly brings accessories to easily transport bulky orders.
"I never argue with customers. If I feel I can't deliver, I have to accept the cancellation of the order and spend time running other orders. Delivery people often see the order with the address and click on the "receive" button to see the order details. Even though it's difficult, they still have to do it or they will lose their rate and bonus," said Mr. Quan.

Ms. Le Thi Khanh Linh (26 years old, in District 10) said that every time she places an order in large quantities, bulky or late delivery, she often contacts the shipper and sends an additional fee after successfully receiving the goods.
"I usually don't think about splitting the order because I just go into the app and place the quantity I want and see that I can still place it. The communication between me and the shipper is based on the actual order I place," Linh said.
Ms. Do Hoa Hong (26 years old, in Thu Duc City) said that if she has to order large quantities, she often splits the order to use multiple discount codes, which also helps shippers have less trouble.
"I know there are delivery apps that accept bulky orders, if necessary, I will place an order on those apps. Normally, I will send extra money to the shipper because I think about how hard they are to deliver the goods, maybe because of my order, I missed a few other orders," said Ms. Hong.
