Mr. Nguyen Van Thuat, Deputy Head of the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Ca Mau province, said: "To implement Decree No. 1749 of the Prime Minister and to implement Project 06 on preserving ethnic cultural identity, in 2023, the Ethnic Minorities Committee of Ca Mau province has developed Plan No. 26, dated May 9, 2023 to implement summer teaching and learning of Khmer script for students in Ca Mau province. The Ethnic Minorities Committee has coordinated with the People's Committees of districts and cities to direct the Ethnic Minorities Department to coordinate with communes to teach summer classes for students. This is a determined direction of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee to preserve the language and writing of the Khmer ethnic group".
