On the morning of October 30, University of Foreign Languages - University of Danang (ULIS - UD) held the Opening Ceremony of the Vietnamese language preparatory program for the 2024 - 2025 academic year and welcomed 20 Laotian international students as students of the program.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of the University of Danang; Consulate General of the Lao People's Democratic Republic in Danang; departments, branches, functional units of Danang City and the University of Languages and International Studies - UD, along with a large number of staff, lecturers, students, Laotian students studying the Vietnamese language preparatory program...
According to the representative of the leadership of the University of Languages and International Studies - University of Danang, in recent years, on the basis of the cooperative relationship between the University of Languages and International Studies - University of Danang with universities, research institutes and organizations, consulates, consulates general of many countries in the world ... has helped the University have conditions to exchange students, coordinate effectively in training, internships, jobs; receive experts, volunteers, reference materials, and improve facilities.
In the 2024-2025 school year, the University of Languages and International Studies - UD will receive 20 Laotian students, including 19 Laotian students under the Agreement and 01 Laotian student under the scholarship of Da Nang City, to study the Vietnamese Language Preparatory Program for foreigners at the University of Foreign Languages, UD.

At the ceremony, representatives of the leaders of the University of Languages and International Studies - UD announced the decisions to accept Laotian international students; at the same time, gave a speech directing the new school year 2024 - 2025, reminding students and international students to constantly strive to study, research and practice, nurture passion, cultivate creativity, explore new methods, and be compassionate to become global citizens.

On behalf of 20 Lao students studying the Vietnamese language preparatory program, student Sucbandit Phanthongchan shared at the ceremony: When we were in Laos, we heard and learned that Vietnam is a beautiful country with a long-standing and unique culture. Vietnamese people are also very friendly and hospitable. Until my friends and I came to Da Nang city, we felt the friendliness and enthusiasm from the teachers and friends.
