Opening Ceremony of the "Colorful Tourism of the Ancestral Land" Program

On the evening of April 3rd, at the Van Lang Park stage (Viet Tri City), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the opening ceremony of the "Colorful Tourism of the Ancestral Land" program and launched the 2025 tourism stimulus campaign "Phu Tho - Travel to Love". Attending the event were: Mr. Phan Trong Tan - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Lam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; and representatives from several provincial departments and agencies.

The "Colors of Tourism in the Ancestral Land" program is part of the Hung Kings Commemoration Day and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week in the year of the Snake 2025, taking place from April 3-7 (corresponding to March 6-10 in the lunar calendar). The program involves nearly 70 units and individuals, including the Tourism Information and Promotion Center, tourism businesses, production facilities, and craft villages in Phu Tho province and other provinces that have tourism development partnerships with Phu Tho.

Through exhibitions and presentations of tourism products, local specialties, and culinary demonstrations, locals and tourists can enjoy and experience the unique cultural, tourism, and culinary delights. The program contributes to attracting tourists, meeting their experiential needs; encouraging businesses and production units to create advantageous and unique local products and specialties as gifts and souvenirs for tourists, and fostering community participation in tourism activities.

The Organizing Committee presented flowers and commemorative flags to representatives of the participating units.

The program featured outstanding cultural performances.

The program launched to stimulate tourism in 2025 under the theme "Phu Tho - Travel to Love," implemented many attractive tourism services; and promoted linkages between localities, tourist areas and destinations, businesses, and production facilities in the tourism product and service supply chain.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Trong Tan emphasized that Phu Tho is the cradle of the nation, with a rich history and culture, and a destination with great potential and a diverse tourism ecosystem, ranging from cultural and spiritual tourism, ecotourism to resort tourism and community experiences. To fully utilize its tourism potential and strengths, he urged departments, agencies, and units to continue focusing on developing distinctive tourism products; improving the quality of tourism services in a professional manner; strengthening tourism promotion and advertising, and establishing close connections with businesses and travel agencies. In particular, he stressed that every citizen of Phu Tho should continue to raise awareness in preserving and promoting the cultural and historical heritage of their homeland; and be friendly and open towards tourists, contributing to making Phu Tho an attractive tourist destination.
