Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hong Hai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, welcomed delegates, guests of the World Billiards Federation, the Asian Billiards Federation and all athletes to attend the 76th World Individual 3-Cushion Carom Billiards Championship in 2024 .
With the trust of the World Billiards Federation, the Asian Billiards Federation, the Vietnam Billiards & Snooker Federation and the attention of the Vietnam Sports Department (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), Binh Thuan was chosen as the venue to host the most prestigious tournament in the competition system of the World Billiards Federation.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that the tournament held in Binh Thuan is both an honor, an opportunity and a challenge for Binh Thuan when it represents Vietnam for the first time to host the World Individual 3-Cushion Carom Billiards Championship. With the highest sense of responsibility, the tournament will be a great success. Through the tournament, players will not only have the opportunity to improve their rankings but also learn more about a destination that is "Beautiful - Safe - Friendly - Attractive".

The President of the Vietnam Billiards & Snooker Federation (VBSF) expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Physical Training and Sports, the World Billiards Federation, the Asian Billiards Federation, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province and other agencies and units for their attention and creating favorable conditions for the organization of the tournament.
This event has been proving the position and development of the snooker billiards movement in the eyes of international friends with proud achievements. We have Tran Quyet Chien, Bao Phuong Vinh and many top players in the world, so hosting the highest level tournament of the year in the 3-cushion carom billiards category will be a great opportunity for Vietnamese athletes, and this is considered a festival for fans who love this sport.

The 76th World Individual 3-Cushion Billiards Championship will take place from September 25-29, 2024. Right after the opening ceremony, the players entered the qualifying round in 4 groups (A, B, C, D): Chiem Hong Thai (Vietnam) - Orak Turgay; Awwad Naser - Miyashita Takao; Morales Daniel - Kokkoris Kostantinos; Umeda Ryuuji.
