Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Chi emphasized: Phu Dong Sports Festival is a cultural and sports festival for school youth, which has important significance. Thereby, it encourages high school students at all levels to actively participate in the movement of physical exercise, physical training, and health improvement; contributing to comprehensive education for students with the spirit of "Healthy to build and protect the Socialist Republic of Vietnam".

The Health Festival is also an opportunity to meet, exchange and learn about school physical education; creating opportunities for students to demonstrate their sports talents and abilities.

On behalf of the host organization, Ms. H' Yim Kđoh, Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee said: Dak Lak Province has coordinated and prepared all material conditions for the Sports Festival and received direct attention and guidance from the Ministry of Education and Training in the process of preparing and perfecting the conditions to be ready for the Sports Festival.

For the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2024, Region IV to be successful, Ms. H' Yim Kđoh requested the Steering Committee, Organizing Committee, referees and related forces to promote a high sense of responsibility, objectivity, impartiality, fairness, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout the Sports Festival.

The 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival - 2024, Region IV will be held in Dak Lak province from April 20 to April 28, 2024. There are 13 delegations with 1,468 athletes competing in 11 sports including: Football, Volleyball, Pole Pushing, Tug of War, Aerobics, Basketball, Badminton, Shuttlecock, Swimming, Athletics and Table Tennis.

The National Phu Dong Sports Festival is an annual activity chaired by the Ministry of Education and Training in coordination with ministries, branches and localities, organized every four years. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this activity was interrupted from 2016 (the 9th time) until 2024 when the 10th time will be held.

This activity aims to promote the school movement, regular practice and competition of sports among students to improve health, physical development and contribute to comprehensive education. At the same time, it aims to implement the goal of fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training in the spirit of Resolution 29 and contribute to discovering students' sports talents.

There are 13 delegations with 1,468 athletes competing in 11 events at the National Phu Dong Sports Festival, Region IV.

The 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2024 is divided into 2 phases. Phase 1 is held in 5 regions: Region 1 in Phu Tho province, region 2 in Thai Nguyen province, region 3 in Quang Nam province, region 4 in Dak Lak province, region 5 in Ben Tre province. Phase 2 is held in Hai Phong city.

After the 10th National Phu Dong Sports Festival, Region 4 in 2024 in Dak Lak province, phase 1 will continue to be held in region 1 in Phu Tho province. After phase 1 in 5 regions, it is expected that the 2024 National Phu Dong Sports Festival, Phase 2, will take place at the end of July 2024 in Hai Phong city.
