Opening of a special photo and document exhibition on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation and the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh

(PLVN) - On the afternoon of May 8, at the City Exhibition House, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Department of Home Affairs of Hai Phong solemnly organized the opening of the Photo and Document Exhibition with three special themes: "The life and career of President Ho Chi Minh", "Hai Phong - 70 years of construction and development through archival documents" and "Hai Phong - Belief and aspiration to rise up".

Attending the ceremony were leaders of the Propaganda Department, the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, representatives of departments and branches, along with a large number of city residents and tourists.

The event is one of many typical cultural activities in a series of events to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2025), the 70th anniversary of Hai Phong Liberation Day (May 13, 1955 - May 13, 2025) and the Red Flamboyant Festival in 2025.

Students were excited to hear about the life and great revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh at the photo exhibition.

The exhibition has profound meaning, helping cadres, party members and people review the life and great revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh - the genius leader, national liberation hero, outstanding cultural celebrity of the world . The precious images and documents on display vividly recreate the journey of lifelong dedication to the cause of national independence and the happiness of the people of beloved Uncle Ho.

The exhibition will be open to residents and visitors during the celebrations of major city holidays.

In addition, the exhibition space also depicts the proud 70-year journey of construction and development of the Port City since the liberation day. Through carefully selected archives, images and artifacts, viewers can clearly feel the daily changes of Hai Phong - from a post-war urban area to an industrial, logistics and major seaport center of the North and the whole country.
