Delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the 29th Fine Arts Exhibition in Kien Giang.

Art exhibitions are an opportunity to evaluate achievements in artistic creation and introduce to the public who love painting and outstanding works of art, offering a multifaceted perspective on culture, history, the nation-building process, and the life and activities of people in the Mekong Delta region.

Mr. Nguyen Thien Can, Chairman of the Union of Arts and Culture Associations of Kien Giang province, presented the first prize to painter Tran Thanh Phong (Long An province).

According to the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, artist Nguyen Trung Tin, Vice Chairman of the Painting Art Council of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, assessed: "Basically, the provinces in the region have developed quite well, building a force of young artists who have achieved good results compared to other regions. The artists have expressed artistic lines and sketched the life and people of the Mekong Delta increasingly clearly."

Artist Nguyen Trung Tin and Art Critic Mai Ngoc Oanh presented the B Prize of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association to two artists, Vuong Le ( An Giang ) and Le Thi Tham (Ben Tre).

The 29th Regional Fine Arts Exhibition of the Mekong Delta Region VIII showcased 212 works including graphic art, sculptures, oil paintings, lacquer paintings, ink drawings, silk paintings, wood carvings, and wood engravings by 173 artists. According to the organizers, the artists demonstrated significant effort in their creative work, with many themes reflecting new trends and increasingly high quality, especially the young artists whose works participated in this year's exhibition. The Art Council of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association awarded prizes to 8 works that won the Vietnam Fine Arts Association Prize and 12 works that won the Mekong Delta Region VIII Prize.

The exhibition hall was crowded with visitors.
