The meeting point between art and philosophy.
The exhibition is organized by Nhau Studio in collaboration with the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giám Cultural and Scientific Activities Center and the International Watercolor Society in Vietnam - North branch (IWS North Vietnam).
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Le Xuan Kieu, Director of the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giám Cultural and Scientific Activities Center, said that this year, the Center welcomes the return of the third season of " Stories of the Scholars" .

"We hope this year's event will contribute to amplifying and strongly spreading the spirit of learning in society. With the exhibition of 950 learning stories aimed at commemorating the 950th anniversary of the founding of the Imperial Academy, the Temple of Literature - Imperial Academy is becoming increasingly familiar and a must-visit destination for those who love Hanoi ," said Mr. Le Xuan Kieu.
The exhibition features over 40 works from 22 artists. The unique materials and styles showcase the open-mindedness of young artists, who seek connections between form, real life, and contemporary cultural identity.

For each person, the image of learning and the scholar is expressed very differently. It could be the image of teacher Chu Văn An – the head of the Imperial Academy, honored by UNESCO as a representative educator of Vietnam; the image of a scholar diligently studying; the firefly-like lights made from eggshells associated with legends about ancient sages; the image of the familiar Temple of Literature – Imperial Academy itself; the purple crape myrtle branches evoking memories of student life during exam seasons…
A new definition of "scholar" in modern times.
Within the exhibition space, the section titled "The Scholar's Garden" redefines the story of the scholarly pursuit with a new perspective. The "Scholar's Garden" experiential exhibition area is decorated with handcrafted materials from Vietnamese traditional villages, featuring 950 real-life stories about scholarship.

Through the artist's lens, students are not just those preparing to enter examination halls, but anyone, regardless of age, pursuing grand or simple dreams, who is quietly and persistently learning and improving themselves every day.
According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Linh, co-founder of Nhau Studio, the exhibition uses the number 950 as a milestone towards the 950th anniversary of the founding of Quoc Tu Giam - the first national school.
In "The Scholar ," "learning" is not just a story of youth or school years. It's a lifelong journey – learning from experience, setbacks, hard work, losses, and even new beginnings.
"Through these 950 stories, the students hope to create a connecting thread between generations: those who came before inspire those who come after, and those who come after continue to support those who follow. So that the spirit of learning and the source of talented individuals of the nation will always be extended and never cease," said Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Linh.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thuy Anh, representative of the International Watercolor Society in Vietnam - Northern branch (IWS North Vietnam), "Students 3" is not just an art exhibition. It is also a project rich in cultural and educational value, where all efforts are recognized and listened to.
"The exhibition demonstrates seriousness in creative thinking, the ability to tell stories through the language of painting, and the spirit of connecting art with the community. IWS is delighted to continue accompanying art projects in Vietnam, to share and spread the love of watercolor art," said Ms. Nguyen Thuy Anh.
